Gear I use:
Guitar: changes by the video. i use a lot of fender, and gibson. but feel free to ask specifics.
Pickups: all of my guitars use different pickups depending on what suits them but i will say Bare Knuckle Pickups are my favorite and preferred brand. feel free to ask specifics
Amps: Fractal AxeFX 2 for the guitar tone on my covers, lessons, and original music . i almost always use Soldano SLO100 presets but sometimes some Friedman, Orange and others sneak in.. i dont typically use real amps anymore. certainly not in my videos just for convenience.
Strings: 9-46 are my main string gauge for fenders. i'll use 10-52 on Gibsons typically. i tend to flip flop between Ernie Ball and D'addario.
Picks: i tend to use .88mm Tortex but i'll use .60mm for faster strumming songs or for Bass guitar.
DAW: Reaper for all my recording software.

Your blink covers are top notch. I used to dabble with bass in high school like 15 years ago. Blink was always my band of choice. Recently started again and have been using your guitar videos as a companion to play along with. Keep up the great work man.

oh sick! if you're using bias I can help you.
use a Mesa Boogie style amp (the treadplate) for his dirty tone.
keep the treble moderately low (I set mine at 12 o clock)
keep your mids up. maybe boost them a bit
crank the bass (not too much tho)

What's plug and cabinet you used dude?
ive been struggling with wrist pain every now and then and my wrist just feels weaker in general after playing guitar pretty consistently for 7 years. What would you recommend i do besides just resting it?

Regarding the intro and the bridge, did you find it difficult to get the specific strum pattern down or is it just kinda whatever.
boxcpl from experience you kinda just get used to the strumming patterns to their songs especially when playing along with albums or songs. i had no life in middle school and would just play through cheshire to untitled ripping the songs i knew on the daily and the strumming kinda just became normal
strumming patterns are something i've always excelled at i guess. i never really gave it much thought. i just hear the song and i just know what to do fairly quickly. which i later realized is something a lot of people struggle with. so i'm pretty lucky
I'm trying to decide on which electric guitar I should get, It'll be my first one.Between a squire telecaster deluxe and an epiphone les Paul studio which do you think can capture Tom's tone the best?
Oh and also be good for playing sum 41 :)
a les paul is going to get you a bit closer because tele deluxes have very unique pickups that dont really have that sort of tone like tom and sum 41 have. that being said a guitar's only going to get you so far so dont expect to sound like enema of the state to a T.
