People talk shit about Travis, but in this track alone I've heard at least 3 different fills/arrangements that I haven't heard anywhere else. Creativity is arguably even more important than skill in a musician - and his creativity is on another level in the genre.
People underestimate him because he's in Blink-182, which is a shame. Almost every single song he's been involved with since joining the band has its unique print, he's super creative in coming up with fills and beats, all of which become integral parts of the songs and not just fills and beats.
Yeah like, wtf is going on in there at 1:55? That's a lot of pieces being hit. Creates a massive steady fill for that break, for in which the guitars aren't doing a whole lot. Quite the contrast. Got a good balance going though. Really spices up that section.
