This series has been great for both me (self taught forever, never learned theory) and my young son (playing a year or so). Yesterday I explained the lesson "you take the major scale, go up it by arpeggiating the major 7, then back down the scale, then go to 2 and repeat" and none of those terms really meant anything to either of us two weeks ago
when I was de-shredding back in the late 90's, slowing everything down and playing deliberately, I used a version of the spider. It's quite useful and will reveal technical shortcomings, in my case it's descending.
wow, properly got into a trance state doing this. I was getting well foxed and then watched again and saw that you repeat the same string after moving up which helped loads! the descending side reminds me of some sort of 50's horror movie though!
I won’t go as far as to say that this one was “easy”, but it did come much easier than some of the rest of the exercises in this series. Felt good. Day 15 ☑️
Still in. Have been since day 1 of this series and very much enjoying it and finding it helpful. Is it just me though or are you getting quite a bit of fret buzz off that guitar at speed? Sorry but when I’m doing these exercises I really focus in on and can get distracted by things like that making my playing sound a bit crappy. Often get a bit of fret buzz myself on the lower strings esp with the pinky so noticed it creeping in here.

Ditto!
Still don’t 😅I’m also in the self taught forever camp.
Still here, my man. Loving the series. Thanks for these!
Liking the spider and the arpeggio lessons in the series - thank you Adrian

Really good stuff man I've been doing all your exercises 👍🤘😊
Yes, I'll be returning to this set of videos for a long time

This is one of the easiest for me. No problem with the alternate picking. Fun exercise, thanks.
All the way with you Adrian . Thank You !!!
Spider madness - love it 😊😊😊🎸🎸🎸

This would work well n the ending of A Day In The Life, the ascending part. 😅

Nice. I'm thinking of this as 5 note groupings if that helps anyone.
Spider from Mars
I like that, think that's what I'll call it from now on!
Thank you, glad you like it 😊
What on Earth are you wearing!? That's not the 30DGTC shirt
🤘
First
My condolences.
This video just proves that this channel has no sympathy for arachnophobes. ;)
Side-tracking.... how about some didgeridoo music, but on guitar...? Please 👍✊
