Lyrics:
"You won't ever see us back away.
Til we make the world see that we ain't come to play.
This is so lil girls dream bigger than they sposed to.
And we get a fair share of pie on the plate.
I am her.
Pardon this interruption of your daily status quo.
We're here to disrupt the arrangement of your Daddy's show.
This double extraordinary enigmatic flow is brought to u by Audre, and Bell and Maya Angelou.
Hand em over.
We need the titles, receipts, the empire replete with the power to speak.
And no, this is not a request.
Hundreds of years of forced silence got a lot on my chest.
And we don't need your approval on our style of address.
Or style of the dress, I'll rock a head wrap and bulletproof vest.
And start my lyrical sermon with this Mother you guessed it.
Just so we're clear on who governs reproductive requests.
It's not up to anyone's opinion on how I protect it.
I'm part of collectives from Mali to Mecca getting bigger.
And our premiere gon be major no longer hidden figures.
We out to level the playing field for them young queens.
Coming for that wage gap til we recoup them Hidden figures.
In '97 million women marched and I was wit it.
In 2017 the same the establishment livid.
If this a man's world we came here to grab the equivalent.
And watch the future reimagined by the hand of the feminine.
You won't ever see us back away.
Til we make the world see that we ain't come to play.
This is so lil girls dream bigger than they sposed to.
And we get a fair share of pie on the plate.
I am her."

that bullet proof verse! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Sa-roc is way ahead of the game and the dopest Lyricist in the game she's not a classic feminist. (Man hater)She reps the oppressed male and female I know because I downloaded 50 of her videos🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Qala Furqan yes.
The idea of Feminism means equality with men. All on the same field. Why do people gotta hate? Let Sa-Roc spit what's true to her, we should embrace the idea of Hip-Hop as a genre that can bring up all subjects of oppression, cause that's why I love Hip Hop and will continue to do so. Big up, Sa-Roc and Rhymsayers!
+The Nyan Bros and just cause the women in your life are more successful than you doesn't mean there's no gap. don't use your failure to live in a fantasy world that suits your ego.

the sheer amount of crying about the absence of white women in a black woman's art will somehow never cease to amaze and frustrate me.
Bitching about the lack of so-and-so in the art made by another race in general is tired and even counterproductive. Pride hardly EVER promotes equality and I just don't understand why so many people fail to realize it's really just more separation in disguise. We were born as we are. We had nothing to do with what we look like. What we can control, though, are the ways in which we treat others. So, I think it makes more sense to have pride in practicing kindness and compassion instead of race, sexuality, gender, religion, etc.
Clear people entitlements are endless so it seems....
Iggy got her moment in the spotlight before the recognition of Sa-Roc came along and despite the fact that I've long been a fan of Goddess Alchemy Project long before I heard of either of them 2008, Kellee Maize - "Third Eye" 2010 also a great song. I love Sa-Roc both an artist and a beautiful spiritual sister and really appreciate her path, in both the realm of music and in her career.
the veil of Night is endless to those who only look at the darkness.
@@jenrockxoxo preach babyy!! That IS what matters👌💖
Sa-Roc please keep doing God's work and leading the lost sheep to their sheperd Jesus Christ that has reincarnated on earth to forgive all who will ask . YES. cauz Christ spirit has come to earth as he left. he died at 33 on the cross and came back into a 33 year old virtuous man.He is here since 2012 and he can heal your hearts with his touch & wipe all your sins & renew your hope for paradise! FIND HIM TO GET HIS FORGIVNESS CAUZ HE WALKS AMONG YOU. ONLY GOD CAN RECIEVE PRAYERS. JESUS CANT HEAR YOUR PRAYERS WITH IS LITTLE HUMAN EARS! God wants all to go to heaven but you NEED to find Jesus who is in a human body on earth.
This is for A.P.(proverbs 8)
It will make sense to only the intended reciever.A message in a bottle.
I knew you were here but was in a solitary invironment for awhile but I'm still me, you may not need further explaining but in case you don't remember our paths have intertwined along the way and no matter the environment when I witness your essence I get to relax a storm I haven't been able to remaster in more then a minute.
A servant of a seal decided if I didn't take M&Ms I couldn't be free. After 20 years or so of false charges and warfare on all fronts I finally proved myself right again. If you remember me you'll remember that I don't ride Humble too good.My horse has 2 names and as we know that horse is as much yours as it is mine.We go back like spare ribs.
It's very good to see and hear you again, ☝
So awesome!!! Thank you! It is a shame there are ppl that don't get the impotsnce of this message even when it's right in their face.
*importance
I be hating that her songs finish!!! LoL... I can't get enough!
Amen💪🏻🙏🏻🕊
daupe!
Can i tag kamala.. she use this song.. BETTER THAN FREEDOM to speak to blk women.
Lets Go Uktie!
What is the point of the song? I know it's something about empowerment, but I don't think a single idea or thought was mentioned. Apart from the fact that there were women who did things.
It's a celebration of the black women who inspire Sa-Roc with overtones of wanting women of all races to come together.
Someone is going to tell me that white women were left out, but they are completely missing the point and I won't dignify that nonsense with a response.
lol... you can't, that's why. Empowerment is about lifting all... not just a select few because you identify mostly with them.
White bald guy commenting on race. Hilarious.
Grumpy Gills I think what Trey Walker means is that white people in this generation can't be assumed to be automatically racist. In the video there was a picture of a black woman and a white woman raising their fists in power. I'm sure he was probably looking for a little more recognition than that but he should know that his people have caused a lot of pain even though he himself chose to be different. You are already judging him without knowing where his allegiances lie and I think that is a mistake. White people aren't born racist but I understand that they have a history to accept and learn from if they want to be equals. You also have to help educate people and cool it on the negativity. Nothing gets done talking shit.
Are you not listening to the lyrics

REAL EMCEE!! ALL HAIL SA-ROC!!!
I love it!
Nice to see you over here sir!
I wish UA-cam had a Love option. First time I've heard this and I literally have chills. Thank you for putting a voice to our journey as wombyn and the the Queens that paved the way. 😍 #IAmHer
Love it Sa Roc!!! Keep shining queen!! I'm so proud of you!
"What are all these social issues doing in hip-hop all of a sudden?"
-myopic commenters who know nothing about the genre's history
👏👏👏👏👏 EXACTLY
Sa-Roc SHE ROCKS! The historical content alone is worth the effort. But beyond that, the lyrical content slays on every level. The diversity of women, the feminist/womanist scholars, the contemporary and historical attitudes of reproductive justice, the powerful imagery of women's strength, and conviction, the deconstruction of male privilege, the defiant declarations of inserting and reclaiming the feminine in all its forms. All of that backed by an unapologetically menacing chorus. "You'll never see us back away Till we make the world see that we ain't come to play This is so lil girls dream bigger than they supposed to And we get a fair share of pie on the plate
I am her, I am her, I am her." I'm taking this straight to my freshman course!
That's exactly what SA is working towards.
Your post made me sit back and think about the power of Love.
Love needs to conquer this realm we live in once more.
Our people live in fear.
And by "our_
I mean Humans.
I sure hope the freshman course went great for you!.
PeaceNLove
I usually listen to this 4 or 5 times because it is so short. I have never felt so much about being a woman . This makes me feel solidarity but also that I am not a black woman no matter how much I am behind you.
And I shouldn't leave it at black women
You are absolutely right
Her sword is one of the sharpest around.
Wow! SaRoc ... you are amazing. So proud of your music, your content/topic matter, the production (Sol Messiah doing his thang) this is spot on musically, rappically/lyrically and topically.. lol... AND I LOVE THE VIDEO, so inspirational... thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for the whole black family and especially for black women, thankyou for this song and video. AMAZING.
I didn't realize how many ignorant rhymesayers fans there are. It's disappointing. Either way, dope jawn

Sa Roc !!! Bring It Ma !! 👸🏾👸🏾👸🏾✊🏾👊🏾🖤❤💛💚!!
I played this song for a few people and I was absolutely shocked at the level of "homegrown" racism and sexism! Our country has a long way to go until everyone is truly treated equally!
(Not to mention the overt comments about the LGBTQ community! #howshameful)
It is a strange world we live in.
We do have a long way to go to get back to the basic fact: love.
Bon courage Kandi
How.... how did you know two years ago....

this is interesting their is a song by another artist that has many of the same visuals. interesting. wonder where Sa-Roc got her inspiration?
Probably from watching and reading about all those kick-ass women then appear in the video; and then having an urge to celebrate them!
supa nice
I'm glad she landed at rhymesayers... I grew up on rhymesayers, it's the only thing still relavent from when I was 15 (I'm 32)
My mouth is on the floor... she's a baaaad woman!!🤦🏾♀️✊🏾✊🏾

Didn't expect to see Sa Roc co-sign this "Feminist" movement knowing the history with Gloria Steinem etc. Sistas need to start their own movement!
I listen to this usually at least 5 times when I listen to it. The message is strong. It's for me and not for me, we are together as women but I don't know black women's perspective. But I do know women and I'm here for all of you, I am her, so are you.
