UPDATE: The patch notes stated the cutthroat basic skill interaction was fixed with preparation, but some play testing this morning found that ALL interactions that I raised in my previous video were fixed. Preparation is now all good and bug free, hopefully!
Rain of arrows is awesome! I use puncture and rapid fire with condemnation and tibaults. Concealment and dash. Hakan and flicker step also equipped. Find group off mobs. Dash, to trigger close combat, metamorphos, concealment, and this does smack everything. Can't remember my paragon atm, but using the ultimate-node, plus to imbuementdmg. Takes som quick planning about positioning, but this is the most fun build I have done! Also have great single target dmg. Using bursting venoms as well to get that extra poisondmg, which also trigger the ring that pumps poisondmg. Maybe I can, and will try trockery-ring instead, just to be a bit more safe because of the taunt when doing concealment, concealment also gives 100 crit on the rain. Amazing! If I change from concealment, I will use the bow that gives guaranteed crit on first hit, and maybe use poisontrap instead, which also will give even better dmg on bosses, I think. Also using the frostgloves for some more cc, together with frigis finesse. I can change to the +6 coreskill gloves for bosses, if I remember.
Concealment is useful for energy sustain in a couple of ways, not just for getting around or breaking CC. Concealment also allows you to best position for optimal RoA casts.
I think before season 2 patch changes no, but with the balance changes, vamp powers and Lilith being nerfed (as far as I've heard) then I think possible. This build doesn't really stagger but if you have nailed her fight mechanics, then you can take her down.
Patch notes state the cutthroat basic skill interaction specifically, not the bug I pointed out. "Fixed an issue where Energy Spent counting towards Preparation would not count if using a Marksman Core skill and then using a Cutthroat Basic Skill."
@@Xsiar323 all builds lost damage reduction from gear, so rogues are heavily reliant on dark shroud and umbrous aspect this season. I'll try whip up a planner that I think will work and post it here.
Quicker draw time of rain of arrows itself makes the play safer, and quicker cast time of rapid fire to reduce the cooldown on rain of arrows quicker :) Out of swords/daggers, daggers this season are really better. In season 1 crit was better when crit damage used to be in a different damage bucket.
@@Bowazon appreciate your feedback bro.. will copy you build..btw last question which gem do you prefer for the bow and dagger? ruby? and is it ok to start your dungeon at lvl 82? coz i did my level 55-82 blood harvest only done 3 dungeons.
Exploit is in the Level 50-55 and Level 56-70 sets in Maxroll. When you get the accursed touch vampiric power and level it up, you can potentially replace exploit with another glyph.
Hey man I lucked out on this for s2 and got a haken at lvl 50 keep running out of energy but your saying if I use accursed touch and prey on the weak it should fix that?
Definitely a possibility, especially if you can lead into a fight with guaranteed vulnerable from concealment and/or shadow imbuement. Otherwise by default it should take 1-2 rapid fires with repeating aspect to proc a curse on at least 1 enemy. For boss fights it's not clear if vampiric curse works on them (nothing that I've seen says it doesn't work) but if it does, then you should have no troubles having constant uptime on the curse.
@@drlling8566 I used victimise on another rapid fire build, felt very underwhelming to be honest. The new changes could make victimise viable, but still no where near as good as CQC imo.
Bows for reducing the cast time of both rapid fire and rain of arrows. Rapid fire cast more often procs preparation quicker and rain of arrows cast with a bow completes your cast animation so that you don't get swarmed by enemies before you can move again. Vulnerable damage is not a really big part of damage calculation anymore so it's no longer miles better than damage vs distant.
@@Bowazon ah ok well how good is your build in endgame? i currently use this one ua-cam.com/video/2Dge0AUFSmw/v-deo.html the youtuber who uploaded it didnt even use all the paragon points
@@Xsiar323for all of your weapons, you're looking for ultimate skill damage (if you're using No Witnesses) along with dexterity, all stats and damage vs CC (for Close Quarters Combat). Awesome this build looks great! Playing fire bowazon in d2r s5 but I'm going to switch to D4 once I get some of the gear I want to try.
Fire bowazons are lit 🔥
Thanks for the video! I'll definitely be trying this variation. I'm curious if smoke screen is more useful than shadow step or not!

I'm trying to make a Barrage/Rain of Arrows build. Didn't see any build guide online, I'll just try to make my own :)
The main challenge will be resource sustain against bosses. Energising aspect can be used with a basic attack to get energy back quickly.

@@brettjlim rogues don't really use overpower damage, so better go with emeralds or sapphires, which aren't fantastic, but is the best 2 options.
Why does bow speeds up the refresh/CD rate of Rain of Arrows?
Bows have a higher base attack speed of 1.1 shots per second. Crossbows shoot at 0.9 shots per second.
