I like watching these, I have had a lot of the same experiences. I've learned a lot and got on medication. Even though the voices.. Spirits is what I call them, are still there, I'm ok with that. They are just not as loud. They are supposed to be there. I believe everything has a purpose, everyone and everything has a reason, even if it's just as an example. ❤

Thank you guys for sharing your experience~ I can tell you as a parent watching my son go through this,, it is absolutely terrifying and not knowing what to do or say when he is talking and not making any sense or how to make him feel safe when he thinks "they" are coming to get him or coming to hurt our family.
Is it better to try and ignore everything or Is it better to entertain their ideas and thoughts or is it better to try and convince them it's not true?

Honestly, I would not do any of those if I were you. Support him with love, compassion and honesty.
It's going to be a rough journey for both of you. Maybe ask him questions, to help him figure out for himself what is real and what is not real.
Personally, I found writing extremely helpful during this period. Writing down all of what the voices were saying, and my own thoughts. I took many walks because I wanted to listen deeply to the voices.
Please bring him to a counselor. CBT was extremely helpful for me in finding reasoning in my irrationality.
My voices were 24/7 for a couple of months. Every person's psychosis is different. If you want to speak to me further on this give me an email

What helped me is my mum slept next to me for a bit. But the best thing is keep reassuring and communicating that ges safe and if you can get some antiphycisis medicine it will get him to sleep. If he's not violent and you let him know what's going on and you can get a mental health nurse to give you the meds at home for him to take he should be able to stay at home and nurses come to him. I come in and out of consciousness and I do hear you If you talk me through what's going on. If not you might be better taking him to hospital to get better. The meds do work, usually your recovered within 3 months and it takes away most of the hallucinations etc. But don't feel bad if he has to go to hospital i kick off when I go because I'm convinced I'm fine but honestly the hospital will get him better.

Alot of hallucination is the brain can be too stimulated so best avoid computers and TV. I hope he gets better but don't do it alone get support from your local mental health team.

I also found physical touch reassuring like a cuddle but he might not. But he needs to sleep and the antiphycosis meds will definitely get him to sleep. Phycosis needs meds and then lots of rest because it reduces grey matter in the brain which comes back but it effects memory. He'll be OK. Hope this helps

I wanted to recover without meds in hospital they wouldn't let me. I refused they put me in solitary and drugged me. Horrid experience. I was chilling on the bed totally not hallucinating drawing and they gave me no choice. We really need more autonomy over meds if we arnt extremely violent which the majority arnt the hospital stresses me out and I end up blacking out it's horrid. I'm reluctant to tell people to go to hospital but I'd rather make a dick of myself in their than do it in public and the hospitals fine if you comply with meds bit I think there should be more therapy and holistic therapy and a choice to come out of it naturally. My mum always calls the police on me so I get taken in by the police. Fun lol
