I like Green Chef. A couple of points: 1) It does take 30 minutes. But, that's 30 minutes of non-stop work. 2) The ingredients are top quality. 3) The meals are satisfying. You will be full. 4) I consider the meals restaurant quality level. In some cases, gourmet level. However, that means the instructions require work on your part. Some of the steps are not simplified, but that leads to cooking skill development on your part. 5) Your kitchen will become a mess if you don't clean up after yourself as you go.
I've been using Green Chef for six years, tried Blue Apron and Home Chef before it but I like that GC is organic. We like it a lot and although it isn't perfect (what is?!) it's been fabulous to have so many different and international meals that are easy to prepare. Often I add to or modify the meals, but they give me a great foundation and are fun to make. I will say that the portions are not large, and we are small eaters so usually we are okay but people with larger appetites might not be satisfied. THey do have very helpful and responsive customer service if you ever need to call them.
Gotta sneak in those Lincoln clips whenever I can haha. Glad you enjoyed the video...it was really fun and I'd totally do it again. Somebody sponsor me hahaha!
What a cool idea! I've never tried a delivery service, they seem expensive, but I really like to hear what you had to say about it. Love your headband btw🥰.
Haha...thanks...I've been really into wearing headbands lately. I'm not sure how much this service costs since this meal was gifted to me, but I think you can customize how often you get it. I guess you have to think about how much it would cost to buy the ingredients yourself, or compare it to eating out, but being healthier since you make it yourself.
Great ideas about prepping esp dicing veggies...loved the mold for the rice. yours looked pretty! glad it was yummy. It was so nice to see Audrey again...she sparkles! :)
Audrey does sparkle...haha what a cute way to put it. Glad you enjoyed the presentation. I often like to put my rice in a mold , just to make it look a little nicer. Dicing the veggies made eating them easier so I would totally recommend doing that.
@@ChefJulieYoon my presentation is downright frightening...lol... for the work I put into cooking! You make so many of these kinds of details less intimidating...thank you. PS you sparkle too, Beautiful Chef Julie xoxo
Thanks...glad you found it amusing! Yes, I worked with her as one of my first jobs and learned so much...from what it's like to be on a cooking show, to writing a cookbook, or doing live presentations. My time there was precious.
Thanks...I'm glad this was helpful or interesting to you. I've always been curious too, but it really was super easy to follow and the dish was tasty! Glad you liked the presentation!
I'm glad I liked it too. It was really tasty and I feel like anyone who is intimidated to cook would really enjoy following the recipe and feeling successful. Thanks again for thinking of me and gifting me this meal!
Totally...I was surprised at how complex the flavors were...especially the spice, the acidity, and cheesiness. All of it went really well together and I'd eat it again!
New subbie - the way you played that was awesome! My first Green Chef delivery comes on Thursday and I’m excited now that you gave me confidence to put my own spin on things where need be. Like you say, the nose knows!
What a wonderful video!! I enjoyed the Chef's tips... I don't like sauce poured on my meat, but it is great when the meat is on top of the sauce! It looked delicious..
Me too...that bothered me as well...especially the celery. And it was kind of annoying to open all the packages. That's how I chipped my knife cuz I was using it to open one of the packages and banged it against the side of my bowl.
I thought the food already comes cooked. Are the meals easy to cook cuz I hate cooking? I know there counterpart Factor already comes cooked but there food is not organic or low sodium so I prefer Green chef
I don't understand why nobody mentions that they charge you EXTRA (on top of the already expensive price) to swap out the protein for organic protein..... When they claim to be all organic.... 🤷🤷🤷 If you don't pay extra.....then u are not getting organic meat in your "organic" meal delivery
I think the butter should have been in the bag! I have tried Blue Apron and Hello Fresh a bunch of times and it just wasn't helpful to me. None of them ever took just 30 minutes, especially cuz I didn't know what I was doing and had to read the recipe like 5 times. Just not for me! Also, so sorry about your knife...sad! My friends and I have the pink knife too because of you! :-)
Yup... butter should've been in the bag haha. I've never really tried these meal kits before so it was a fun experience for me. But agreed that you kinda have to read the recipe a lot...I don't know why. Maybe it's all the packaged items. I was afraid of missing a step. Overall, I still enjoyed it and would love to try it again with a different meal and maybe a different company too...just to compare.
Just tried Green Chef for the first time....and the last! Quality was substandard and the sauces and seasonings made everyone ill. Most of it was thrown out. My dog wouldn't eat it either. Priced at about triple of supermarket cost.
I'm sorry, but when your son said, "Yeah, Mr. Camera" instead of saying, "Yeah, Mom"... It broke my heart. The look in his eyes... Please spend more time with him without cameras. Things really affect children, far more than we realize.

You have such a calming and healing energy :) all those meal kits look not hands-on at all, it takes quite a while to prepare those meals xo

Awww, I love the footage in the car. He's all bundled up. I really liked the concept of this video💕

very interesting video, would love to see more of these! also that's so cool that you worked with lidia bastianich!!
Thanks...glad you found it amusing! Yes, I worked with her as one of my first jobs and learned so much...from what it's like to be on a cooking show, to writing a cookbook, or doing live presentations. My time there was precious.
Hi Julie!
This was so fun to watch since I’ve been very curious about Hello Fresh and other meal kits. Your presentation was 👌🏼😘
Thanks...I'm glad this was helpful or interesting to you. I've always been curious too, but it really was super easy to follow and the dish was tasty! Glad you liked the presentation!
This was fun to watch. My husband and I use Blue Apron and we couldn't be happier. Food is always delicious
So glad you liked it. :D Love how you presented the meal!
I'm glad I liked it too. It was really tasty and I feel like anyone who is intimidated to cook would really enjoy following the recipe and feeling successful. Thanks again for thinking of me and gifting me this meal!
It was good to see you again! Fans enjoy your "cameo" appearances here. Best!
@@mpuppybreath Aw thanks so much! Appreciate the love :D
I’m a chef too, totally agree about the panade, that’s the only thing I use for my meatloaf & meatballs. Love the video.
Nice to meet a fellow chef. Yes, that is one tip I learned from my mentor and still value today. It really does make the best meatballs!
That looks real good and easy
Totally...I was surprised at how complex the flavors were...especially the spice, the acidity, and cheesiness. All of it went really well together and I'd eat it again!
I would love more videos like this! I've only used Hellofresh, but have been thinking about Greenchef, so it was interesting to see your reactions.

Tyyyy! ❤ Love how you teach and share content. Voice soothes me!
This is a very intriguing video, and finally, know what one of those meals in a bag consists of. I love the "your nose knows" quote! Great video.
Glad you found it intriguing! It's kind of like an unboxing and a cooking reality show in one haha! Yes but your nose does know!
Wow! You totally upgraded the final plated dish! 👏🏼
Ha thanks...I probably would've done it even more so if I weren't doing it for the first time on camera in real life. It was so fun!
I love the way you plate yours
Thank you...glad you appreciated the little Julie touches!
🥰🥰
Thank you for this video! My wife and I are trying to see which one we want to order and we may do Green Chef
Conventional often means regular non-organic or not “non-gmo”
Oooh...thanks for giving me a wrinkle in my brain! Good to know!
What a wonderful video!! I enjoyed the Chef's tips... I don't like sauce poured on my meat, but it is great when the meat is on top of the sauce! It looked delicious..
Yum and they best sponsor you!!!
Truth! Haha...
yes do more! I just started green chef. i am currently onthe Mediterranean. not that thrilled with their version. maybe keto?
Wow mam great sharing
Idea for a video: we go to Iceland and eat Skyr and Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur.
We'll get bigger than Mark Wiens which isn't hard because the dude is unreasonably skinny.
I like how you have all these ideas for our videos Maciej...but somehow they always involve YOU eating...haha.
i feel like that was an unnecessary amount of plastic used in the packaging.
Me too...that bothered me as well...especially the celery. And it was kind of annoying to open all the packages. That's how I chipped my knife cuz I was using it to open one of the packages and banged it against the side of my bowl.
Yes it was but green chef is the only meal kit (that I know of) that offsets 100% of its direct carbon and plastic which I think is pretty awesome
I am a super fan why are these brands not sponsoring my girl".. I
Haha....TRUTH! Thanks for having our backs! Maybe one day they will!
I thought the food already comes cooked. Are the meals easy to cook cuz I hate cooking? I know there counterpart Factor already comes cooked but there food is not organic or low sodium so I prefer Green chef

I use impossible meatballs for my meals, they taste so good 👍🏽
Conventional means non organic. Everything looks like the packaging for Hello Fresh, Every Plate, and several other companies
Ooh..thanks for the lesson.
