    Now this is a man who understands how to give a proper demo! Multiple guitars, properly tuned, ... Well done!

    Brother that was a fantastic DEMO of this amp, between your great playing and that killer tone I am truly impressed, and I agree with Dahrk Matter thank you for just plugging straight into the amp, that 2nd channel with the volume up and a little drive added would make any blues guy stand up and salute, good job, the PRS had a little more bite over the other guitars, but they all sounded pretty good

    Great idea to alternate guitar hanger/acoustic panel/guitar hanger/... for home studio walls. Also, who knew Kasey Kahne was such a righteous guitarist ;)

    Thanks for the way you did this demo. I use three different guitars, Strat clone, semi-hollow 335 style, and PRS Custom 24's, so this was particularly useful for me.THANKS!

    I've been looking at getting this or debating whether I should save for a bit and get a Mesa Triple Crown. This is one of the best demos I've seen on the amp.

      thats awesome any big difference between the 20 and 50 model? or just louder more headroom? thanks

    • @yaboy2124
      @yaboy2124 3 роки тому

      @@sugarlife485 They have different tubes in them..
      Youre going to get a more throaty vintage tone from the 50 more akin to a marshall, and a more mid heavy sound from the 20 more like a fender reverb.

    Nice review. One of the only ones for this product that is Not using some sort of pedal! Amazing how many amp reviews don't do guitar>cord>amp, sans effects loop.
    Would love to see another review with more variations in drive volume and eq.
    By the way, is the speaker cable long enough to reach out to plug into a volume attenuator?
    Cheers!

    • @Guitargate
      @Guitargate  7 років тому +1

      You'd have to do a longer speaker cable, but that's not that big of a deal. Honestly, I don't think you'd really need it with this amp. Thanks!

      I agree 100%. These demo's using pedals and EA's are bullshit. Its dishonest. I want to hear the amp in question. I do believe I love this Sonzera. Wonder the differences between the 20? If it's not so much in the cash department, I would obviously buy the 50. But I'm loving the tone and having reverb built in.

    I just played one yesterday. I used a Blue Legacy Tribute..The clean tone was really good. Notes come out on top.
    Not sproingy.. The other channel, was a deal breaker.. That being said,, you can use pedals, and that's what I do..
    So I take the deal breaker, bit, back..the amp was this one , for 599.00 Worth every penny.. Just wish the gain in 2nd CH. was better but no biggie...Maybe diff/ tubes..Anyway..not a bad amp...

    I just purchased on whim, and hoping the demos prove right. I play with a Fender elite, took out the noiseless pu and have TS. The ash body makes this strat very bright as opposed to my Custom strat Frankenstein alder. I was going to get the tin reverb 65 reissue, but decided on this. Band I play with cover a wide range of Funk, pop, disco and rock, so versatile amp is a must. Currently using a black star ID260 TVP, not thrilled with that amp, although I do enjoy the headroom. I also have the Fende hot rod 112 however breaks up a little early, for my funk clean tones. Pedals used to drive are the Plexi lol gain and Full tone OCD. Will let you know how it turns out.

      Same as Ding. I don't think the amp revealed the strat sound much. However, I liked its warmth with the humbucker guitars, damn! that McCarty 594 sounds really great!

      I tried it once at a music store and I could get the dirty channel on "accceptable" levels. of course its better when it's louder. I couldn't thoroughly test it because some jackass decided to sit next to me and crank another amp. I do plan to try it again before buying to be sure.

    This would be cool if it reveals all the equipment you are using ... obviously there is at least one reverb and .... this video is not meant to have a realistic and correct rating or rating of that product. So I do not think this amplifier has a "sonzera" as we say here in Brazil.

      Joabe.....he told you exactly what he used at the beginning of the demo. To infer that he is lying is...disrespectful! Now you do make a good point, just without manners. There's obviously recording software that can pretty up sound. And there's also youtube uploading, downloading and different listening monitor devices that effect how we hear music and sound. You seem like a very suspicious and skeptical character....and there's nothing particularly wrong with that....if you do it with grace. This video is supposed to help YOU decide to CHECK it or NOT check it for yourself. This demo.....ANY DEMO DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE LIVE OR RECORDED!.... does not speak for your personal experience...but as a tool to HELP you.

    I was just at a show where a Sonzera 50 was provided as part of the backline, for a legendary guitarist who shall remain nameless. The Sonzera sounded incredibly harsh, and it was kicked
    off the stage and replaced by a vintage 1977 100 watt Marshall master volume amp. Which was ENORMOUSLY better. PRS really should stick to making guitars. Their best amp is mediocre.
