That's a hunt I've been looking at for a few years now.
It was an absolute dream hunt come true! Such amazing animals. I'd highly recommend one of these hunts.
Nice video! How much does the born primitive tundra lite jackets weigh? How comparable is it to the sitka aerolite kelvin jacket?
My only gripe with the StHealthy pad is that thing is stiff. You definitely wont get thorns in your tail but it's not all that comfortable. Maybe if you take the foam out and replace it with a used foam sleeping pad it would be better.
How does the Terminus 8700 compare to the 7000? How many days were or are you able to fit in the 8700? With lighter loads does it still compress down well? Thanks!
Hey Chase. I recently used the 8700 on a backpack spring bear hunt. I was easily able to get nine full days of food and gear in the pack with room to spare. It also compresses down really well too if you want to day hunt with it (and easily be able to pack an animal out too if you're successful). I was a little concerned with the internal load shelf since I'm so used to the other packs, but I used it to pack out my bear meat, hide, and gear to camp with ease. Due to the weight of the bear, I decided the final packout to do multiple trips. But I'm really excited on the bag after using it for two hunts now.
I see you’re using a sling on your rifle, do you prefer that over a rifle bearer that attaches to the backpack?
Great question. I’ll be honest, I’ve never really enjoyed most of the rifle bearer systems on the market. Some are lightweight, but I don’t know if I trust my rifle on them. And I know there are also some great ones on the market that are more quality than the smaller type ones. For me, I haven’t seen many times when I need quick access to my rifle. So most of the time when I’m hiking around from spot to spot I’ll just strap my rifle fully on the side of my backpack. If I’m moving a short distance, then I’ll use the sling just on my shoulder. Or I’ll use the sling when I’m stalking in on an animal and might need quick access. There’s definitely pros and cons to both styles. But for the most part, my rifle is strapped up on my backpack as I like the way the weight is distributed with my rifle strapped to my pack. Hope that helps!
Great video Brady, can you really call it 2 spot n' stalk mountain lion kills, I haven't seen the 2nd lion but the 1st was more of a spot n' shoot.
Haha. You definitely have a solid point :) Every now and then I'll take some luck on a hunt, especially when it comes to mountain lions.
Born primitive must be paying more then Sitka and Stone glacier these days.
Sitka used all their marketing dollars on onlyfans chicks who dress in their camo but never kill shit
😂
Aron Snyder is a partner of born primitive and I believe designed the clothing. Also Aron guides aoudad hunts in Texas.. coincidence? I think not 😂 also, tall people like to back brands that offer tall sizes
@@SWF734 well said
😂
You sure ur 195? U look more like 180
Haha. I'm always a work in progress. It's taken me a lot of hard work to get to 195. I don't do the whole "gym body" look, rather I do a lot of lifts that focus on my legs for the mountains.
