That is not a Gendarme carbine, but rather a Cavalry carbine. A Gendarme carbine has one band and a nose cap, and yours appears to have two bands and a nose cap. Plus, a Gendarme has a bayonet lug, and a Cavalry does not. Also, the sling mount on the trigger guard is only found on the Cavalry carbine. Good video, I just wish it were longer. Thanks.
@1861James No, the Cavalry were not issued a bayonet because they were already issued a sword. The Infantry rifle, the Gendarme carbine, and the Aritllery carbine all took a bayonet. I have a Gendarme and an Artillery carbine, and I love shooting them. Good video, thanks.

I’d thought the cavalry carbine has the lug and the Gendarmerie didn’t since it was police/home guard…
