Mauser day at the range
Another Sunday spent at the range with a pair of m48 Yugoslvian Mausers, a Gew 98 & my favorite Mauser m96/11. 4 of 5 from the Swedish m96 & glad to know the Gew 98 shoots, maybe we’ll get it sighted in.

Another MKII from IMA

The latest acquisition from the Nepal Cache is this BSA 1877 Martini Henry. This shot is the first in maybe 120 years since it was covered in yak fat & brick dust and put away in a run down palace.
Argentine Remington Rolling Block at the range
Переглядів 2562 роки тому
Latest gunshow score, this Argentine Remington Rolling Block Rifle seems to be in great condition but since it’s in 43 Spanish the reloading will take a bit. Enjoy our folly as you see things don’t always go as planned.
Nepalese Snider for Nepal Cache day at the range
Переглядів 1642 роки тому
Nepalese made Snider patterned after the Enfield Snider MKIII. Using 24g plastic hulls with 65g 2f bp and a .58 cal .500g soft lead projectile. After 120 years in an old Nepalese palace collecting brick dust and who knows what else, these old rifles were brought to the US through IMA ( International Military Antiques ). Thank you Christian Cranmer
1917 Eddystone 5 for 5 ( 2nd edition )
Переглядів 372 роки тому
This is an old 1917 Eddystone that I found for next to nothing, and that’s just about what there was. The barrel is a sewer pipe but seems to put rounds on target
1896 Krag 5 for 5
Переглядів 562 роки тому
This is a 1896 Krag that started out as a rough sporterized rifle but with some luck got it back to some of its old glory.

Steyr m95 carbine

Shooting the m95 for a friend that hasn’t shot a rifle because of her shoulder...she thinks she’s ready
That is not a Gendarme carbine, but rather a Cavalry carbine. A Gendarme carbine has one band and a nose cap, and yours appears to have two bands and a nose cap. Plus, a Gendarme has a bayonet lug, and a Cavalry does not. Also, the sling mount on the trigger guard is only found on the Cavalry carbine. Good video, I just wish it were longer. Thanks.
I’d thought the cavalry carbine has the lug and the Gendarmerie didn’t since it was police/home guard… Evidently more research is necessary
@1861James No, the Cavalry were not issued a bayonet because they were already issued a sword. The Infantry rifle, the Gendarme carbine, and the Aritllery carbine all took a bayonet. I have a Gendarme and an Artillery carbine, and I love shooting them. Good video, thanks.
@@GIJeaux1, good call sir. Looks like a new video is in order 😊
That’s a shame. I see the other comment talking about leaded rifling. I see remnants of rifling with a great deal of corrosion. More than likely caused by lack of or improper cleaning following black powder usage.😢
U can imagine we dont one like this in egypt any more
I now believe that all chambers are not the same, these rounds were fire formed in Don’s Martini Henry…this MKIV definitely has the tighter tolerance
Great vid James, can you show us the cleaning process please? 👍
I have a video showing before and after pics of a Martini Henry MkIV. Maybe I should do a complete video of cleaning one of these old Nepalese Cache guns 🤔
Buen video, saludos desde Venezuela
Muchas gracias
Looks like this is a m27 😁
How much was the 1841? My 1837 was $495 & well worth it after cleaning the crud off. Only bad breech threads, who needs breech threads anyway. Realy its at my gunsmith buddys shop now to see about that
I think it was a sale item at 349
It looks like my 1837 brunswick except no patch box & no rifling, i have 2 bayos neather one would fit by a lot, ended up opening the inside of the t slot in the grip with a small dremmal t slot cutter.
very 👍🏻 nice!
Nice! Thanks for posting. I just got mine from IMA a couple weeks ago. Hopefully, some day I'll be able to shoot it. Lots of fun work to do in the meantime. Glad you are at the shooting stage. My stock is cracked and bent and I have all those weird thread-pitches and rusted screws and worn out parts and... well, you know what I'm talking about. 😀
What did you use to clean the metal?
Usually a brass wire wheel on a bench grinder or on a drill for tight spots for the more rusty parts, for the parts that don’t need much attention I use a frontier 45 scrubber ( which looks like a dish pan scrubber )
HUZZAH! I got a coupon for 10% off from anything IMA sells and I got one of these.
Nice bro ☯️
Good Lord what a herd! Better behaved than my kids ever were for sure!

Damnnnn 👀 I bet it was hot in that mofo 😂
Turn up the volume.
I just went back to watch, and I had to crank it to hear it 🤔 maybe it’s time to invest in a microphone and decent camera. What gets me is the bubble wrap makes more noise.
U got to show the rifle's close up.
My first unboxing…..

Cool cat.
Very cool cat, Winston was a British Blue and always loved any Milsurps I brought home ( especially anything combloc ), sadly he passed away a few years ago RIP
Turn the sound up I can't hear you.

That's awesome!!! I'm finishing up my snider enfield looking at this one or the Martini next from IMA thanks for showing.
So hard to believe that they are located in NJ. A major anti gun state
Some civil war battlefield has lost it's rifles. Great video guys thanks 😊.
They dont have many Martini henry MKIIs left. the ones they do have all have cracked stocks. plenty of MKIVs tho. april 2022
Dan I was there just a few weeks ago, MKII Martini’s are rough but with a new stock set should be fine
