Reacting to AN UPDATE + major health scare | why I have been seeing doctors lately

"Praying for mercy"? Oh the dramatics. Wonder if she will be praying to show mercy to her organs the next time she sits down to a spread of food that could feed an army.
When you brought up her using the cpap for extra oxygen made me think about how whenever we saw her she was always having fresh marks from the cpap
I think she's also severely dehydrated half the time, causing those marks to stay longer because her skin has no moisture to bounce back.
Both of my grandchildren were diagnosed with T-cell leukemia. It is true that remission is declared after five years. There's frequent monitoring up to the five year mark and much fewer monitoring afterwards.
Btw, a few months after my granddaughter was declared in remission, my grandson's tonsils swelled enormously. As soon as my daughter became aware, she had him to the doctor within hours! Sure enough, he had cancer.
I do understand ALR's PTSD, we all felt it, but both of these women need to take serious action.
I do not feel one bit of sympathy for either one of them. My mother had cervical cancer and had a full hysterectomy as well. For the first year afterwards, she had to go to her doctor every 3 months to get checked on. It is fully ALR’s fault that her health is abysmal now because she doesn’t take it seriously at all.

As someone who was dignosed very young with lung diease i can add a lot to all this. 1st if her breathing was 50% she would probaly be dead. Also when oxgen drops to even 85-89 hospital wos not allow u to leave. Not sure about Kuwait, but in States , you wod have to sign papers that AGAINST Doctors orders she is leaving. They protect themselves about liability
Yup! UNLESS you have a history of COPD etc and your baseline is the high 80s - ER eval is what happens when you get into that range. You don’t stay home in bed with your CPAP when you also have a history of asthma & are 400lbs.

I believe that she doesn't want to go to the hospital because she knows that they will keep her in and she won't be able to order food and eats what she wants.
She also probably can't afford a multi-day stay, and lord knows if they might just deport her back to Canada once she's well enough to fly...
Perhaps she believes they will deport her to Canada due to health issues.
Can they actually deport someone because of that?
The survival rule of three is a simple technique that helps people prioritize tasks during a crisis. It states that a person can survive for:

Is an ambulance not an option? If she's too weak and unwell, it's the sickest she's ever been, why not call an ambulance?

Programs that talk about people being “powerless” are referring to the fact that no one can control/change the fact that they’re an addict/mentally ill/have cravings etc. You’re powerless to change those things, BUT you have the power and ability to decide how to respond to addiction/mental illness/cravings. Of course FB decided to hear “nothing I can do!” from that 🙄

I've commented this so much on other channels but I'm flabbergasted that A. She doesn't even have a thermometer at home, B. That all she talks about is the food she can't have. As if every gram of nourishment is essential to her survival.
I also find it offensive, as a secular person, that she is trying to bargain with God. While miracles do happen, statistically she won't do anything drastic for her health.
As for Amby - she should not have dangled (lol) the big C without any kind of evidence just for sympathy and also should have avoided the useless, old and tired tirade about it's-all-our-fault.

I’m not super religious by any means BUT asking God for mercy, when you’re gonna continue to be a glutton/end your life abusing food, is gross. There’s nothing anyone can do for her & that includes the lord.

Amber's equivocation is just...wild. and for years she makes such a big deal about crying/bawling/breaking down, etc. Sure, health scares are concerning. But where is the worry when she is routinely shoving garbage into her body?? Instead her audience ( and urgent care doctors!) get blamed for the obvious connection of her super morbid obesity and her health. How is it possible to have this way of thinking? I don't think she realizes that 500+ pounds is not like weighing 200 or something. And omg..the attitude about doctors not prioritizing seeing or treating her immediately, when she herself has made ignoring her health a way of life...indeed an INCOME! Maybe if SHE had immediately addressed her months long bleeding before her dx of cancer, she might have avoided the hysterectomy.
Well said. I’m not sure what else could be a more “major health scare” once you’ve had cancer. She neglects her health THEN convinced herself she’s dying. Once she’s medically cleared - it’s back to the bullshit.

I personally think that when she was in the E.R two months ago while in canada that it had to do with the skin infection.
Ok don’t shoot the messenger but in defense of salty lemon water - when I’m sick I do make my own “Gatorade” by mixing salt and sugar into water, sometimes add a little citrus or juice concentrate for flavor. Imo it works soooo much better than store Gatorade which makes me more nauseous. The salt helps you hold the hydration when you’re vomiting a lot :,) but this ailment is farrrrr beyond being cured by that
I have POTS so I make my own fake gatorade with 1/4 tsp of salt with some lemon juice in water (I don't add sugar because I am a demon and like it without). I will usually take it with 250mg of magnesium and 100mg of potassium. I used to get migraines all the time until I started doing this... turns out electrolytes are important 😅 Storebought gatorade is a scam... it's literally just some regular salt in flavoured water for like $4. No thank u.
Omg fellow POTS haver!! I totally agree, sometimes I crave it just with the salt … mmm 😋 Sometimes I dip ice cubes in a bit of salt when I’m too nauseous to down the liquid. From one to another, if you haven’t already explored, the world of fancy salts has changed my life. Special treat for those terrible flare up days!

I am bringing Strawberries to the pity party or the wake, whichever. BBJ suffered with untreated Kidney disease for years, and she couldn't take herself to the vet. I simply don't care about the Super Villain in my stories.

No, I'm pretty sure that she's sick and it could be a combination of things tbh.
If she was already sick with an untreated UTI then that could've turned into a kidney infection and lowered her immune system.
Then with her already low immune system she snuggled a stray cat and a camel spit in her eye too.
I was hospitalized with a kidney infection in my 20's with very high fevers and it was no joke. So, add on her untreated raging diabetes and you've got a dangerous situation going on.

@@Sarahlee358medication doesn’t save you when you override its effects with being an all out fucking glutton. She doesn’t even take that low dose of hers all of the time. Her uncontrolled blood sugar is at the TOP of the list of what’s fucking her body up right now.

She also NEEDS Psychiatric care, asap. She harassed feral kittens/cats & camels, then wonders why she's sick? Also, those animals didn't want her near them, but THIS PEST still persisted! She's going back to Canada, bc we have Universal (free) Health Care. When she goes back to Canada, it's bc of that ONLY & not to see/visit her family!
I can remember during summer when I’d visit my family my cousin would get like that (she has type 1 diabetes). If she was napping, hadn’t eaten in awhile, and out of breath, my aunt would always ask her when she had last had water and make her check her blood sugar because it was not good! It was a sign that she could be slipping into a diabetic shock of sorts or something like that Idk I was young, but that’s what came to my mind as she was talking.

If you’re referring to Amber, she did have cancer. It was discovered when she went to ER for bleeding.
She bled for 2 years then finally went to the ER. She never went to an OB/GYN prior to that for regular paps or to discuss the bleeding. Said it was because of fear of going.
You have to have money to go to the hospital. She is playing with her life and doesn't know it's not a game.
I think the reality behind people like ALR and Foodie healing their relationship with health and food, is them understanding themselves better, especially their values.
They both chase short term dopamine rushes be it from food, substance abuse, or attention. They both tell their audiences about their health struggles because pity and kindness makes them feel good, even if it makes their audience feel bad. Both want pets because it’s a distraction from boredom and their priorities with their pets is how their pets make them feel loved, even if it means bribing them with treats to get the response they want. They care more about the enrichment they get from owning animals, but have no interest in the discomfort or sacrifices that come with pet ownership.
The value they see in healing their health and food relationships is the possibility of transforming into a traditional beauty standard, in the hopes that the validation they would receive would be enough to replace the cycle of addiction they’re trapped in.
They both value people for their physical appearance, and the validation they can extract from them, they don’t just need to learn how to love themselves, and how to self validate, but also develop morals that value traits like discipline, resilience and the ability to overcome. They look at people, who have the bodies and lifestyles they envy and think they are just lucky for being a functional adult, ignoring their character in how they have shaped their own lives.
I saw the comment on your last video that must have triggered the extra "I am not a health professional" vibe and I want to say I have never found what you have said to sound like "bullying". I think your audience knows that you just want people to take their health seriously, and sure, sometimes you get frustrated with Chantal and Amber's antics, but it's fully understandable. I don't think you need a medical degree to see that a lot of their behaviours are harmful and even if you do have a medical degree, you can't diagnose people just from what they say on the internet. Anyhoo! I just wanted to say that I have always found your opinions to be pretty fair!

Decreased liver function can cause thinning of skin membranes and dramatically slow wound healing. That’s my guess for sores in the nose. It’s actually really common for long-term alcoholics to have nasal cuts/sores and sores in the mouth that persist long past normal healing timelines
The constant CPAP is also probably drying out her nose, making it easier for sores to form.

She has many symptoms of camel pox. Horrendous and contagious disease. She will be required to be in medical isolation, if she has contracted this sickness from the camel saliva that recently went into her. The images of human victims are ghastly and leave disfiguring scars.
She's just had a skin infection, then a UTI.

This all sounds SOOO ridiculously put-on by her; the sickly voice, the claims of not eating, the in-depth and extreme details. And why no hospital/clinic visit? Because she knows there’s nothing wrong w/ her, why waste the time + $$. Once again, this is just the easiest + lower than lowest effort vid she could make, considering she’s not even on camera (which I think would be the bare minimum from her in this case). Worst part of it all, is that she still gets enough views + makes enough $$ to sustain herself. I truly believe she couldn't care less about her health or the quality of her content….and it shows.
