When Dimash premiered this song at his concert he gave a speech prior to singing the song. I think that speech is important and gives context to the song and story:
"Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words. Thank you very much.
We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents.
And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation.
I have not seen how such situations evolved in the past, therefore I don't know what will happen next.
But many people are suffering today because of a few individuals, it's really true.
We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children,
we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children.
They are pure-hearted, kind, friendly, untainted and without egos and their love for people are pure. Young children have such qualities.
I started writing this song I'm about to perform, three years ago.
Generally speaking, my main purpose in writing this work is to call for peace in the world.
It's a small composition that has burst out from deep within my heart.
To tell you truth, many thanks to god and with your wishes I traveled to many parts of the world and met many different people during my tours.
One thing I understood is that if you look at ordinary people, there is no such thing as a bad nationality, there is no bad nationality!
I don't need to tell you what you already know about the reason for mentioning the topic of nationality here...
Let there be peace in the world, Let there be peace. Let there be no war.
Let no people, let no nationality, let no country suffer!
Because after all, ordinary individuals, ordinary people are not at fault.
The truth of the matter is, no nordinary person is guilty of starting a war!
That's why the next song I'll be performing in your honor is about our common fate under one sky, it's called "The Story of One Sky".
    Hope you like it."
    - Pete from Dallas

All the voices he does here are not for showing off, they relate to what is happening in the song, he is telling a story, and it's an emotionally devastating story and he is feeling everything (he is the one who composed it). He is crying, begging for peace. he is not having fun in the sense of he is merry or happy, he is just letting his emotions out, crying out to be heard.

@@linororen I would like to see you do an analysis video of the MV. Even if you've already watched it. Let folk know you already reacted to the live concert version (and if you've already watched the MV, that too) and will now be putting your comments about his voice into the story context provided by the MV, discussing the connection between the musical composition (his), the lyrics (which he "directed" but did not write), the script/screenplay (which he wrote the bulk of), his vocals, and perhaps a comment or two on his acting ability. I predict Dears will be OK with all of it. I've seen you before and this time I've subscribed (I subscribe to channels I especially like) and clicked the notification bell because I hope you'll do such an analysis in the next week while you're still in touch with your feelings during this reaction in which part of you is wondering what the heck is going on.
I notice some have said this live concert version is him lip syncing to the MV soundtrack (or at least its vocal track). It sure *sounds* identical for all but one momentary section. But then I've watched expert analysts provide audio analysis evidence that shows a performance many claimed was him lip syncing another performance -- two performances that sure *sounded* indistinguishable -- were actually entirely distinct. Ultimately I don't care. But I recommend you don't even mention this aspect one way or the other. Please just react to the MV as its own piece of art, because it really is a masterpiece that warrants calm vocal analysis.

There is so much intensity, grief, wild desperation, the will to live, anger and heavenly tones inbetween, so much emotions, not only techniques. Dimash really is on another level. But the main thing is the message: We need peace to survive and to live fulfilled lives, to give our values to the next generation and don`t destroy the future of the children and the whole planet. All vocal coachers on UA-cam has a lot to learn from Dimash. He has been studying music for 23 years and is a music coach professor. When his head is shaking that you do not understand is something that just happens, he can`t control it, because it just happens when he raise his voice to a higher tone. That happens to a lot of singers. It is all about the vibrato, wich is special in Kazhakstan. No vocal coach can actually tell whats right or wrong when Dimash sing. He is more in the future than anyone else can see or understand.

      💔💥💥💥💥💥
I live in Almaty. Of course, I was at this concert. The emotions were simply shocking, heartbreaking! The whole inner world is in tatters! There are no words to express what I felt and those who were near the stadium. It seemed - the world collapsed... Such was the emotional intensity!!! Especially after 3 hours of the concert, where Dimash gave all his best!!! How is this possible!?!
"Requiem. The Story of One Sky" is something that is beyond the usual understanding, beyond feelings and emotions, and what is called a concert.
And after the shock of everything she heard, Linor did not turn her tongue to admit the obvious - there are singers, but there is a unique PHENOMENON - Dimash! And doing an Analysis of his Requiem, as they do a reaction to other performers, is simply blasphemy!

Hi Linor, I saw another reaction by you to Dimash where you said something like: Can not he sing in a normal way, without using all his register or all his resources. Maybe is boring for him to do that? The way that you act in this new reaction, remind me of that. I understand that Dimash's huge talent can create a confused impact on people who dedicate their lives to music. It can be very hard to "swallow" for some and can even "saturate" to others. But the real thing is that Dimash is unique and he chose the wright way to express his uniqueness trough the neoclassical singing style.
The freedom that Dimash has as a singer, due his wide register, due the domain of the techniques, dynamics and genres; the freedom that his youth, his creativity and musical knowledge give him; the freedom that he has as and independent artist, allows him to do whatever he wants, show us something out of the ordinary.
And I say, in a world as molded and limited in all aspects, how not to appreciate his desire to experiment, his passion, his courage? May Dimash still being himself, may break molds, old visions and mental structures, may create new paths in music and singing, may him be great and aggrandize us. That's why he was born for.

Thank you for your vocal analysis of this song, it is truly wonderful.
The lyrics are heartbreaking and he knows it and he feels it and it breaks his heart as he sings it. He has in his head the story of his music video as well as what is happening right now in the world, and he is distressed by it. It is painful. You can see it is not just an act. This really is his soul showing, it's just that he has the techniques and discipline to be able to hold it together (enough) and perform and sing for us the audience. The vocalise in the middle are all the sounds of the different religions across the world. Muslim call to prayer, Buddhist Ohm, Kazakh funeral melismas, with the Christian church bells in the background. His voice flies to God and begs for help.
Now that you have seen this, it is really really important to watch the official music video too and to read the lyrics on screen. You have to understand it to get the most out of this song. Please please watch it. Everybody in the world needs to see this. It is very special.
But I promise you, it will shock you.

Dear Dear Linor, I know, you can´t help laughing, when Dimash does his crazy things. ..again and again.
Your laughings and your speechless endings are really lovely to watch. ...again and again. 🤭
But if you would have seen his video to the song... I think, you would have stopped laughing.
You were right, that he was dancing, but not for fun, but for war, for his war for peace and life.
That's why in this song are all his real deep emotions, it's not a cover, it's his message and his plea for peace.
The oriental part and the Om stands for all religions, in the video there are shown Buddhists, Jews, Christians, surely Moslems (as Dimash is Moslem)... and this different religions, ethics, nations are walking together through the afterlife, searching for the light and the sun under one sky, meaning heaven.
This song is Dimashs biggest message for mankind: Be kind to each other, because one day all peaceful man will be together under one peaceful sky.
I strongly recommend to have a look at his video: Dimash, The Story Of One Sky

Dimash shakes his head when he wants to express emotion physically, to express heartbreak, and also add a bit of extra emotional shake in the voice. Artistic expression, not technical need.
To understand the topic of this song, watch the official video with subtitles on. He worked on the composition and on the script for the video for the last 3 years. The "show off" part represents prayer sounds, in islamic style, buddhist style, and christian style. The song is a plea for unity across religions and cultures. It`s a desperate plea for peace, it`s a hypothesis on how we get to war, and how we could avoid it. He chose to finally use "scream" technique for the phrase "We`re choosing life". That is Dimash`s soul right there. He composed his first song about war at age 22, in 2017 ("War and Peace"). This is a step further. Every time he hopes that he would never have to see millions of children suffering due to the atrocities of war again. And times keep saying no.

Linor, it's very important to understand the lyrics and see the movie (it's not just a clip). Dimash wrote this requiem for humanity, for peace on earth. It is his composition that he worked on for 3 years and he wrote the screenplay for this short film. Shocking at times and full of symbolism, the film is a multi-layered masterpiece. Dimash expresses the sorrow, suffering, pain, anger, and despair of humanity, mired in endless wars and senseless destruction to this day. Together with the film you will understand what his voice expresses. He put his heart and soul into this project and it is a message, an appeal to reflect on our humanity again. Last on stage - he dies and chooses life again - We’re choosing life!

The land is so vast, rich in traditions, fertile, and prosperous in natural resources. Once in every generation, evil power-hunger entities have come to take what is not theirs. To divide and conquer. They have failed, but they have planted evil seeds here and there. Waiting. Now, they have come again, united, in confrontational mode, unleashing their unsated hunger and hatred. They pounce without hesitation, wave, after wave, after wave to crush the spirit of the people. Confrontations. Sanctions. Warmongering. Canceled Culture. To what ends? Evil people, they really are.

Dimash - as with using his various voices, tones, and resonance when repeating the same lines in a song - also uses visual variances in his performance... Especially with audiences, he will sometimes use the head shaking as an emotional enhancement and constraining/emotional vocal impact [almost as a visual cue of something he wishes to emphasize, whether a vocal segment or drawing the audience into a painful or tearful sobbing feeling]... While yes he can do the lines without the head shaking, it gets more boring for an audience to just see a singer standing their singing out a song rather than sharing the emotion of the song as well... Dimash doesn't just sing a song towards an audience, he brings the audience closer into his world.
For instance, even in sales -- a technique to draw the customer in is to do nods or light head shakes while pitching a sale... it's to make the other person get drawn in to agree or feel what you're saying
Dimash doesn't use it all the time, but selectively picks the spots where he feels it helps support the emotion conveyed
NOTE: If you watch the official music video, it will make more sense, and give you more of a sense of the extreme emotions, pain, sobbing, and sorrow felt behind the song -- and he composed the entire piece (as well as writing the video script) with a very serious and powerful message behind it... 😉

Wow!)) What a reaction!))) I was at this concert, Dimash was far away on the stage, and I could hardly see him, I only heard his voice. At the end of this song, I and not only me, it seems that the entire tribune exhaled in the same way, because throughout the song we could not breathe. And at the end, with tears in their eyes from the heard masterpiece, the happy ones shouted bravo. Thank you very much, you reminded me of this moment.

He used this scream with distortion in other 3 musics. All of them in Queen's musics.
