    The actual test she took was not standardized and was given unsupervised. And interpolating someone's actual score based on age is flawed. By her own admission, later in her life she retook a supervised test and scored 178 which is still quite high.

    • @mr.boomguy
      @mr.boomguy 4 місяці тому +3

      Also, the score, if I'm right, get pushed down a notch every now and then due to the average IQ increase of the general population. So even if it was corrected back then, it must've still been around 200

    • @jhpjhun
      @jhpjhun 4 місяці тому +11

      @@mr.boomguy The average IQ is set to 100 so it gets pushed down every few decades. For example, if the global average IQ was 150 for the past decade, that would be set as the new 100 IQ score. The increase in IQ is mainly because nutrition, better testing standards, and because developed economies naturally deal with complex issues which makes people think logically. So an IQ of 178 is still ridiculously high. Einstein had an IQ of 160.

If a goat is picked and the host recommends another door the probability of it being right is also 1/3. So, the probability of the other door being correct should be 1 - 1/3 which is 2/3.

    Since she lived so long ago and her IQ was measured in that time, I wonder how if she was teleported to current times would score on an IQ test. Most people are unaware of the fact that average IQ scores have been *rising* consistently in at leas tthe last century ever since they were first measured. However, IQ tests works in a way so that it makes the average person score 100. However, to score an average IQ of 100 these days you have to answer more questions correctly than in the past. So IQ tests actual raw scores and the IQ score we give to them are constantly moving in the same direction, meaning a person with an IQ of 100 is a lot smarter than someone with an IQ of 100 50 years ago, since they made the tests harder even though you get the same IQ number. So in the last century our raw IQ scores actually have been rising with 30 IQ points, if you were to remove the adaptations they are constantly making to make IQ tests harder. This effect is called the ' flynn effect' , (where each generation scores _on average_ scores higher than the previous one if taking the test at the same ages). So since this woman lived 80 years ago, I wonder what her IQ would be now.
    So basically you can not compare people's IQ if they were tested in a different period of time..

    I perhaps had the lowest IQ in the schools that I had attended. But still, when in my 40's, I managed to independently derive the Special Relativity mathematical equations on my own, despite having dropped out of school and thus also having no prior physics education at all. So the point is, even though you have a nasty low IQ, that still can be misleading.

      @@pan4gopan4life75 You can test it. Two people, 3 cards - two twos and an ace. One person places the cards face down knowing where the ace is. The other person picks a card, then the first person reveals one of the twos. Do this 100 times and check the result when switching and when not switching. 2/3 of the time, switching is better. You can also work it out using logic - lots of material available on that.

    If anybody has a convincing explanation. Plz do let me know how IQ is measured and exactly what it stands for. Its a very confusing stuff, it's probably not as straight forward as just solving a few problems and not as low-level as difference in neuron-connections. So, if anybody could explain it, that would be helpful. And by anybody, i also include you, @Newsthink perhaps you could make a video on that? Idk
