Good story, thank you. So, I just want to say that as a young white guy working for the U.S. Postal service in 1979 I was assigned to Ralph Ave and many times to Bushwick station mostly south on foot from Broadway, down Macon, Halsey, Marion Street. It makes one nervous to be in a predominately black area but I will say that people showed me kindness on multiple occasions and no trouble ever came my way. That summer changed my entire outlook on life.
Simply fascinating I love the history of the "Warlords" the 1970s/80s were tough times for those involved in the outlaw culture & family but we survived the times but not all sadly. Thanks King Klast for the history.
This brought back so many memories of how you had to maneuver around back then from JHS 35 ( HellCats ) JHS 258 ( WarLords) PS 305 ( King Cobras) but the 328 Halsey St. Center upstairs with Mel and Mitch ( those were my Basketball coaches back then) were some good memories, and it shaped me and others into who we are today. Thank You Brother for the trip down memory lane.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👑👑👑
@Donald Young No doubt homie. I knew it would bring back memories from the old way. Much respect brother. And glad to see a old familiar face from the old "Do or Die" gangbangin hood.
I worked with a warlord he did most of the 80’s up north me n him clicked but he was stand-off ish with everybodyelse lol….also is this the same warlords from the education of sonny Carson?
Some War-Lords were present for the movie. But "The Lords" in Education of Sonny Carson. They were a mixture of several gangs. From Crown Heights, Flatbush, Bed-Stuy, Jamaica Queens and some Black Spades, from the Bronx
@Raider Blue When you watched this video. You heard me say "I was in two other gangs after the "War-Lords" broke up. And i said the 3rd gang was major. Well that 3rd gang i was in. It was the Tomahawks. Deadly Tomahawks Division 1973 - 1977 There are many videos of the "Black Spades" on UA-cam. You can start off with the beginning of Hip Hop. As hardcore Outlaw gang culture in NYC, in 1970. Started Hip Hop Culture around 1972 & 1973. Starting with the Black Spades.
Okay okay! Nice King Klast
