Haha! It’s not so bad. If you plan and buy a reasonable car all the other expenses will automatically come down. Whatever you do don’t buy a new car - atleast that is my golden rule. Thanks for watching!
@@TheNimbleNomad Thanks.. I started watching your channel from today and liked the content you are uploading.. Pls continue the good work. Subscribed you now :-)
Thank you for the video! This just saved my family from potentially getting a penalty because we knew nothing about congestion charges etc. we're about to go into London and we would have probably been surprised if we received a penalty fees letter!!
My wife stopped doing that commute after the pandemic. So thankfully it’s not too crazy. Before then it was about 2 tanks of fuel a month in our hybrid toyota
Thanks for this vedio, I am a international Chinese students in UK, after see this vedio I decide to give up the hope that own a car in UK, I was planned to go to USA first, and car is necessary for people who lived in USA except for New York City, but in UK, the situation is totally different from in USA, the only factor which is the same as UK in USA is the price of insurance
The main difference in the UK is that the public transport system here is a lot better and country is a lot smaller so you don’t need a car like you have in the US.
@@TheNimbleNomad You are right, the pubilc transportation system in USA is very terrible, the bus comes at least half an hour, and the fuel in USA is very cheap compare with UK, the price of gasoline in USA is only 38p per liter, by contrast in China the price is 75p per liter, not mentioned the price of gasoline in UK is much more expensive than in China.
Please share your own experiences of owning a car in the UK - are there any costs I have missed?
Thanks for this info. After watching your video, I have crushed my hope of owing a car in the UK.
