I don't understand why people would want to be homeless. Here I am having an apartment and broke trying to make enough money each month just to keep my small apartment so I don't become homeless.
LISTaddiction I highly doubt it's attention. Not sure why you'd think that anyway. I know I've never heard of any of these people before this video. I don't know why it's so hard for some to understand. Some people could careless about the amount of money they have or the luxuries their money bring them. They only need the necessities, food, water, & for some an actual roof over there head (shelter, hotel, motel). Those who gained the money from their successful careers actually enjoy doing their job & not for the amount of money they receive from doing it. Personally I think it's pretty fuckin' admirable. Especially those who chose to donate. Shows that money isn't everything.
We are all homeless! Most of us think we are so secure in "our" homes, but it wouldn't take much to have it all ripped away from us. Then where would we park our asses? On the street? Yup.
Not beyond the realm of possibility but few think of this. It happened to me, so I constantly think about it, though I now do have a secure roof again. After going from rich to poor. Nowadays, though I could live more comfortably, I still practice the strict disciplines of smart poor honest folk. Live very frugally. Learn to enjoy discomforts, like being cold in winter, hot in extreme summer heat, learn how to ignore those who put you down for not enjoying their own higher standard of living. Why do such a seemingly insane thing? Because it develops the necessary resilience and coping skills to get you through a period of economic adversity eg a national economic down turn, where even the very rich could end up losing all, especially if they invested on the stock market or crypto Currencies or the real estate market with high debt leverage etc. Once you learn to live a simple luxury free lifestyle, it becomes very liberating and you simply do not need or miss what you have not. And you wonder how you could have ever become so addicted to much unnecessary luxury eg dining out, buying coffees in cafes, fashion, driving a car instead of walking or riding public transport, cosmetics, gyms etc. And, on rare occasions when you d o indulge in some minor luxury to you, that is just normal living needs to others eg but a coffee in a McDonald's, even, it feels like a great experience. Why? Because you fo not indulge frequently in what you d o not need to stay alive as and well.
Try telling that to an unemployed Poor person in Australia who would consider themselves extremely rich if they could get and hold a permant job that paid them just $40, OOO Australian.
Tonya Williams ....I was hoping they never accepted money from gifters. .as they have experienced that lifestyle and should understand how really hard it can be. .at the end of the day they have a cozy bed.
If you are homeless with education that is not no one fault. At ten years old I never went back to school not by choice but I'm doing OK thanks to God.
DOCTOR J homeless doesn't always mean underprivileged. And a couple actually were the stereotypical homeless, they were saving money and you have the ones who didn't even know they had money coming to them
I never realized how many people don't know what exactly the term 'homeless' means. For those who don't here's a definition provided by public health services. A homeless individual is defined in section 330(h)(5)(A) as “an individual who lacks housing (without regard to whether the individual is a member of a family), including an individual whose primary residence during the night is a supervised public or private facility (e.g., shelters) that provides temporary living accommodations, and an individual who is a resident in transitional housing.” A homeless person is an individual without permanent housing who may live on the streets; stay in a shelter, mission, single room occupancy facilities, abandoned building or vehicle; or in any other unstable or non-permanent situation. [Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C., 254b)]
Why would they pretend to be homeless if they're actually rich and can afford to get a house without having a job at all and stay home ALL DAY and do ANYTHING they want?
You're a child and you should be living with (and being raised by) your 'parents' the next 5 year's. You talk like some adult at 13 years old lol you can't even get a job because you are a child Poor you. Get off your parents internet
the fact that billionaires do not care about material things is not ironic at all, it's very logical. a person who gets honestly wealthy understands the worth of tangible and non tangible things.
Ao Chen fuck that, here I am..... not homeless thinking these people are in need and I'm supposed to pay for their greed? Hell no. Ill take my change and feed starving children instead.
The story about Curt Degerman is not accurate. According to the newpapers from the town he lived in here in Sweden Curt had a will that said all his real estate, gold and stock would be given to his only friend that was also his cousin. Also I can't find anywhere that he was homeless, he had two houses in the town he lived in and was found dead in his bed.
My dad who grew up in England would tell me stories about how there were people who would appear homeless begging for money and then go home to their like mansions and such
Kibrom Gebrekidan you are right all benefits good in Europe so why people be homeless but in America you can't even breath you gotta buy air also so that's why every corner by gas station you can see homeless people around just by name is democratic but in really is dectatory system .

While shopping out of town saw one of my neighbors with a homeless sign. I nearly shit considering he has a nicer vehicle than I do and we both live in a upper middle class neighborhood.
My mom knew a wealthy woman who was homeless. The unfortunate woman’s children had died in a fire and she couldn’t bear to be indoors. In the worst weather, she would get a hotel room.
Back in the recession of the 80's, millionaires were donning trashy clothes and begging for money during the day and driving home in BMW's. I can never become homeless as my basement is full of my SHTF food!

I saw a supposedly homeless guy with a friend of mine after we were getting off work, we followed him for some reason and saw him drop his rags for a nice business suit, took out a cell, got out some keys and opened a mercedes benz and drove off.
In Sweden, the housing crisis is making full time employees who earn about 50.000 dollars a year homeless due to ridiculusly high house/apartment prices and 15+ year queue for rental apartments.... The blame lies with our politicians who bring in tens of thousands of people from Africa/Middle-east.
I'm not homeless but jobless, I've been panhandling the last two days and have maid only one dollar in two days, wow it sucks to be me, I live in a very mean city.

Asking for money on the street, let you more money than working. If in one day pass in front of you 500 people, you can earn $500.00 in only 1 day, & the week have 7 days, imagine.
Greco But imagine all the negative, evil stares and remarks. There's 100 "no's" for every "yes". It's not easy being homeless. People treat you worse than they treat their own cats and dogs. You are always the center of negative attention. You're never where you're supposed to be.

to a homeless person that usally is a lot.
If you invest it properly, then it can make you wealthy. It’s still a lot of money to most people.
thats just well off depending on where you live.

I would not consider the rich billionaire 'homeless'. He didn't have to be..he could have bought the hotels he stayed in he is so rich.
