  • My trip to Tennessee for the Smoky Mountain Small Bore Rally is coming to and end, but there's still more riding before we head north toward home. Check out the worst corner I've ever seen and one of the highest points on the East Coast, as well as a roadside view of the big stunt lot ride.
    Make sure you're subscribed and have notifications turned on because the rally may be over but scooter tuning content is coming back! Please give the video a thumbs up if you enjoy it and leave me a comment. Thanks for watching!

    Hopefully these videos show others just how versatile a high performance scooter engine can be. Thanks for coming along and documenting the trip.

    I wish my scooters still worked. I ended up buying a KTM 890 adventure R from B&E motorsports in Easton. I always wanted to ride my scooter with you in OC.

    You’ve gotten a lot of (UA-cam) mileage out of this trip. Glad you went. Gonna go in ‘24?

      Hope to go. Have a room reserved. If they don't announce a scooter drag racing class that sounds good or if money is tight, maybe not. I really wanna go explore more of the area though anyway.

    Great videos always! Hey I’ve just changed the rollers on my Tmax 500 to 18g and now the bike revs but has lost acceleration and power Checked and rebuilt the variator side of the cvt a few times now with no improvement the bike used to do over 100mph now WOT I’m only hitting 70 no grease on the belt or anything like that I’m completely lost all I did was lower the roller weight
    I did take the scoot on a 70mph run with a front disc binding strongly could this have worn the clutch
    Would I feel it if the clutch was slipping.
    Any ideas would be much appreciated 🤞

      If you ran it up to 70 trying to fight much braking, you could have definitely worn the clutch or belt. Paying attention to RPM should tell you if anything has changed much, like slipping enough to lose 30MPH. Stock is usually 19g and I was using 15 and 16g in the stock vari still doing 100 so the weight change isn't enough.

      Hi 49 I’ve checked the clutch looks fine fitted a new belt and now my bike seems to hit 90 but won’t pull past 6.5 k ish
      I used to hit 107mph
      I have a new torque driver to install hopefully this helps
      Also I don’t suppose anyone knows what the black plastic cap next to the idle adjuster screw covers
      I hit it with a screw driver it cracked and now hisses air
      There is a nut under the cap I I screwed it tighter hoping to stop the leak but no luck
      I have now backed it out a bit and covered the hole to stop the leak but my fuel consumption is now sky high I’m wondering what this nut is for and how to set it back in the correct spot
      Nothing online gives an indication of what the nut adjusts or even a replacement plastic cover 😩@@49ccscoot

      @@user-my5pu5jk4p Go to the throttle body sync section and see if you see the piece. Maybe that will help.

      If it's generally weak, a compression test may be a good idea.

    What chin mount do you have?

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  10 місяців тому +1

      This is how I do mine :
      49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/24195/mounting-gopro-helmets-large-surfaces
      Then GoPro makes a helmet mount kit. I use the one that doesn't have the ball built in. Tried the one with the ball on the trunk and it moves on it's own at higher speeds. (Affiliate link)

    Hi, around what HP do you get out of the TPR86?😁

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  10 місяців тому +1

      They claim 22-24HP. I would guess closer to 20.

      @@49ccscoot i have seen a video where tpr86 vs t7 and the tpr holds up to the t7 and in some cases the tpr is ahead pf the t7. Also i would save $200 for going TPR. I think the malossi badge is not worth the same money as the whole TPR maxikit.

      @@144krise7 I've never had the MHR 86. Just the RC1, which is an MHR cylinder kit. The MHR is wearing better and I haven't had the sealing issues, but I don't know if that would vary at all with how they design standard kits vs flange mounts.
