Absolutely love these kinds of how-to's. So many every-day issues like these can be resolved in short order with 10 cents worth of material and some know-how. No need to throw a perfectly serviceable tool away or waste money. Appreciate the video!
Those 2 people who disliked this video need a reality check!! This man is wonderful, and makes even better videos!!
Thanks mate! Those two dislike every video I put out. It’s hilarious.... they make time every weekend to wait for my release, click on it, then smash the dislike button. Don’t tell them, but their dedication is earning me engagement credits with the algorithm. 🤣
@@FarmLearningTim lol, good as long as you're staying happy and making videos!!
It's known as a common whipping. Used, not only back in the day, for keeping rope ends tidy. I've fixed hammer shafts this way, using sail twine and coating it with super glue or varnish. That's a fix that lasts a long time, no need to go to the nasty stores :) Thank's for sharing your knowledge, really enjoy your videos.
Good morning Tim, I am going to bookmark this video as I am always replacing broom handles etc. Great video, cheers
Awesome tip Tim! I think I might add some glue too. But as you and I both know the bailing twine is so much handier than the glue around the ranch. I love your practical ideas.
Love the video... thank you.
Also awesome for makinhand tools. (And better-looking) handle, in lieu of gloves for handtools.
you are bloody legend!! love your videos
back in the day sailors whipped the end of a rope with this method.

I'll remember that when someone breaks a leg.
Only slightly disturbing…..
@@FarmLearningTim Disturbed is actually my favorite heavy metal band 👍
It would be difficult and unsuccessful to apply this technique for a broken bone but the technique for a broken bone repair would be very effective to fix a handle.
