Gothic 2 "Maximum Quests" Speedrun in

- This run tries to solve the maximum amount of quests possible in a single playthrough without using major glitches.
The first question then is what it means to "solve" a quest in Gothic 2. The definition I went with is to have it listed in the section of completed quests in the diary at the end of the game.
The last qualifier matters for Balthasar’s quest "The Forbidden Pasture". It can be temporarily listed in the diary as completed, but it’s programmed to automatically disappear from the diary, if the hero is neither guildless, a mercenary nor a dragonhunter.
A short description of how the diary works in Gothic 2:
To appear in the diary at all a quest X needs to be started via „Log_CreateTopic(X,LOG_MISSION)“.
Quests get marked as complete in the diary via the function „B_CloseTopic (var string Topic, var int MissionVar, var int CommonVar, var int EndChapter)" if the condition MissionVar or CommonVar is fulfilled. B_CloseTopic is run every time you get XP and also at some other points.
You actually do not need to "start" a quest before you "complete" it. As long as the ending condition is set, you can start the quest later and then the next time you get XP it appears in the diary in the completed section. For example you can free Joe from the tower and talk to him, which fulfills the quest’s ending condition, and then talk to Hakon and ask him, if he knows anything about the missing people, which starts the quest.
Some quests may appear like they were completed, but if you look for them in the diary you will not find them, since they instead got categorized as "obsolete". This is the case for Fester’s and Senyan’s quests for example.
The mage path has the most quests due to all the quests novices have to do in the monastery to become a mage.
I arrived at a maximum number of quests of 171. Here is a list of all the quests in the game including the reason for each quest that was not completed:

Note that that number might the slightly higher, if major glitches were allowed, because circumventing guild checks via sheep transformation was not allowed in this run.
I really hope I did not make a mistake in that calculation. While this run is very very unoptimized and more of a proof of concept, it did require quite some effort to complete. More than once I realized that I missed a dialogue in chapter 3, when I went to check the diary after talking to the captain at the end.
There are a few subtitles explaining stuff, but I got pretty lazy 10% in to be honest. - Ігри

Naja, Maximum Quests ist das noch nicht, mir fällt schon flüchtig auf, das du die Lares Quest für die Miliz (Martin) annehmen hätten könntest, auch ohne Miliz zu werden. Davon mal abgesehen das du die Söldner Quests zum allergröten Teil auslässt und auch einige von der Miliz.(Welche Art und Weise Speedrun ist es eigenlich, deiner Kategorie Persöhnlich? (Ist diese Art wirlich massentauglich?) LG
Man kann nur eine von Lares' 3 Aufnahmequests machen und ich habe die fürs Kloster gemacht.
Ich habe keine Aufnahmequests ausgelassen. Teilweise wurden sie erst in Kapitel 3 oder 5 gelöst.

Doch um wirklich volles Potenzial heraus zu holen, wäre wohl die Martin Quest und anschliessend das Schaf eskordieren eher dem Run entsprochen (mehr Quets abschliessen oder auch maximum Quest.) Schau die Quest das Schaf zu eskortieren ist 1 Quest/ ok auch die Statue zurückschaffen aber die Martins Quests naja 2 gegen 1. LG
@@onixsteinwurf9559 Es gibt nur eine Quest um ins Kloster zu kommen namens "Zugang zum Innos Kloster" und da ist es egal, ob man das Schaf oder die Statuette nimmt. Quests zählen hier nur, wenn sie im Tagebuch geführt werden. Selber alle möglichen Aktivitäten zu zählen, wäre viel zu subjektiv.
Genau, und warum machst du dann nicht die Martin Quest zusätzlich? Wäre wie gesagt 1 Quest mehr? Schrieb dir das was du mir ebend schreibst doch schon, daswegen denk ich ja das der Maximum Quest Run eventuell mal überdacht werden sollte. LG
