Absolutely delightful with a very singable tune. Philip thanks for posting this piece which would be seldom played and heard. A most calming piece to commence which you play with such control. Lovely dear friend. Sounds like the Bach pascalia in C minor from 4.00. Love this work and your playing.
I really enjoyed how you played it and I think the embellishments were tasteful. Thank you for providing us another beautiful version of an incredible piece! Since I learned more about this piece in college (and some exposure as a kid via a few CDs I studied back then) I was fascinated with it. Having many interpretations is good thing imo. More for me to enjoy 😁🤤
Beautiful !!! thanks. It reminds me of Sinclair and Pistorius' nights (from Hesse) spent watching the dying fire. I'd like to hear the chaconne in C minor from you one day.
Amazing stuff! Once again benchmark performance! This was a piece my teacher suggested I learn a year ago, but we got tangled up in learning the first trio sonata by Bach instead. I only ever uploaded the score to the ipad…. This makes me wonder if I should take the time to learn it, it does not seem to hard
What a superb reading of a classic in the organ repertoire, Philip!
Thank you so much Theo. Really grateful for your comment!!
Enjoy your playing very much. You have such a connection with the music !
I really also try my best. I appreciate your kind comment 🙏🏻

As always a big thank you Michael. Yes Bach must have heard Buxtehudes version?! They seem so connected!

Hi Emiliano. Thanks for watching - I haven't heard the Buxtehude Chaconne. Maybe I should look for it.
I love it - the piece itself but also how you played it. Good night from Germany, tomorrow I have two services to play 🎶
Thank you Tobias! Happy playing! 🎊
Well played!
Thanks Rudi!!
I love this one.
Thanks James!!
I tend to listen to this peace by Maestro Stefano Faggioni on youtube whic is rather longer, but I tend to agree the way you play it is "poetic"
I try my best. Thank you so much!
Geweldig weer Philip!♥
Mee eens.
Leuk om eens een Nederlander hier tegen te komen :D
Thank you Syts!!
And thank you Rudi!!

Hi Tim. Thank you for your very kind comment. I definitely think you should start on it. It is easier to play than a trio sonata by Bach ;)
@@philipaggesen indeed the texture does not seem to be anything too technically challenging… but sometimes pieces surprise you
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hi Andrew. Cool that you liked my rendition!
May I ask which Hauptwerk Organ was used?
Of course. I used the organ sample set "Noordbroek" sampled by Sonus Paradisi.
@@philipaggesen thanks philip
Bach and Buxtehude wrote only one passacaglia each... This is corious...
Yup! And both in minor as well!
