- The Scottish Royal House of Bruce, led by Robert I (Robert the Bruce), emerged during a tumultuous period in Scotland's history, spanning from 1306 to 1371. Robert the Bruce's reign is particularly celebrated for his role in securing Scottish independence from England after the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. The Bruce dynasty consolidated power, expanded royal authority, and established diplomatic alliances crucial for Scotland's sovereignty. Despite internal conflicts and challenges, including the Wars of Scottish Independence, the Bruces strengthened Scotland's monarchy and forged a national identity that endured through subsequent centuries of Scottish history.
Great video , thank you
I am not Neil.
Hello, do you have a print version of your Bruce chart? If so, I would like to purchase one. Also, when do you plan on making de Bruce part 2?
Working on it!
When do you intend to release the 2nd bruce video.
I am trying to find the parents of Mary Polly Bruce born 1590. She married Ensign Thomas Washer in colonial America. I was hoping your info may shed light on this person.
Fascinating! Wow, that's a lot of research. I'm finding my own family research fascinating but tedious. I'm tracing a John Parker from the colonies ( of which there were apparently many John Parkers) to England, then France. I'm told that would lead to Scotland as well but I think the most difficult is finding sources I trust. Thank you so much for your time and effort! Enjoyed.
Hey this is my family line too! Hello cousin!
It would have been nice if you made the chart big enough that we can follow the names. It's impossible to see them.
I am working on remaking some of the charts to make it more clear and legible
Bruce is my maiden name ,hello from Canada.
Robert the competitor and Isabella de clare are my ancestors 😊
My husband is a Robert Dillon Bruce. It would be interesting to get his geneaology and find where he fits in. He's been told that he is the 6th Robert that has been traced.
Would it be possible to get a digital copy of the tree/chart? Or can it be posted online somewhere? You would make a lot of people very happy if you could provide that info. Thank you!
I have my charts posted in the usefulcharts sub reddit
Im interested in part two as well my great grandmother was said to be a direct descendant, my mom said she got some sort of check from her ancestry in the 60's. I hope the person that made thus video is well considering no new posts in over a year😮
I am well, thank you... my wife was pregnant, and it's been tough finding time to make charts
Thank you all for the comments I do have a copy of the chart on my Reddit Account u/oldmacdonald91 I also post on the UseFul Charts Sub Reddit

de Brus or Bruis from Brix Normandie.
Actually from Le Brus/Bruis, a fortress in the Cotentin Peninsula. We did establish a church in Brix though.
