Except for one thing. The Video Games were first. The First Series is loosely based off Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, who's main character was Trevor, with the supporting Characters Sypha Belnaldes, Grant Danasty and Alucard. Some characters are also from another game, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, where Hector is the Main Character, with Isaac as the Antagonist. It also featured Saint Germain. Nocturne, on the other hand, is somewhat derived from Rondo of Blood, having Richter as its Main Character. And the more important part is that Konami has abandoned the initial Timeline featured in the Shows, as they rebooted it with the Lords of Shadow games.
@@Mordekaiser0305 no shit Sherlock they have retcon timelines before so many series have done that they've just been like random dark third child of the past yeah we don't want to see that again.
@@djlarrylar7905 probably. But it's Konami tho. They don't give a Rat's ass about anything that isn't: 1. Pachinko Machine 2. Yu-Gi-Oh Konami doesn't exactly have a good track record when it comes to their other franchises that isn't Yu-Gi-Oh. Silent Hill? They gutted the damn thing, P.T.'s main game could've been a great game but they canned it. The Remake of Silent Hill 2 was a surprise really. Metal Gear Solid? They literally fired Hideo Kojima, so even if they try, they won't be able to make a good MGS game anymore.
@@Mordekaiser0305 It's confirmed that even during the making of Metal Gear 5, and P.T, there was bad blood between Konami and Kojima. Meaning there might have been arguing so much to the point of extreme hate. For what I heard is that Metal Gear 5 was so expensive, to the point of being too expensive??? Konami knew that if Kojima worked on P.T, it would have the same problem of going over budget. This likely why Kojima left??? The good news Is that Kojima is making OD for the Xbox, which is a successor to P.T.
@orangeslash1667 I mean, yeah. P.T. had Guillermo del Toro in it. Of course it'll be expensive. Besides, with all the games Kojima made for Konami, I'm pretty damn certain the payoff is better than the cost. Look at what happened to MGS5. It's, a great game don't get me wrong, but it's very unfinished because Konami forced Kojima to finish it early. They still earned a lot from MGS5. And that's the problem with Konami. They pretty much dunked all their franchises that isn't called Yu-Gi-Oh to the trash. As previously stated, it's really surprising Silent Hill 2 even got a remake. Konami is too greedy for its own good it cannibalizes its own franchises because they want instant profits. That's also why they'd rather make pachinko machines rather than develop games
Capcom already has talked about reviewing their pricing structure due to the rising cost of development. their president literally said "it would be healthy for game prices to go up again." So they would absolutely raise the price on MegaMan and pretty much any other game they make.
@gameinspection4999 I don't think such a statement should be taken at face value. Capcom releases games at several different levels and obviously a game like RE9 will have to sell millions upon millions of copies more to make a profit than Mega Man. You can't just apply that one statement to every game they make.
@comradecatbug5289 when I say they'll raise the price I'm not saying they'll make MegaMan 70 dollars. But MegaMan 12 or a new MegaMan X would easily be around 50. MegaMan 11 came out 6 years ago. Between inflation and the Japanese yen being at an all time low stuff is going up in price.
@@gameinspection4999 You're insane if you think a Mega Man game has pressure to raise the price that high. Mega Man 11 had a budget of around 20M, and that was enough to make it one of the most acclaimed and the best selling game of the series. Games with over 5 times that budget are still retailing for 60 $ and making money.
@comradecatbug5289 and that was in 2018. 6 years ago. Also Capcom was still recovering from the 7th gen at the time so they didn't have a lot of money to throw into budgets in the first place. It's why re7 was profitable despite selling less than re6 in the same time frame. Which don't get me wrong that was smart and more developers should do that. But If it were as simple as you say they wouldn't be waiting 6 going on 7 years to make a new MegaMan game. They would have just done it already. Especially since they could just reuse assets like they did with the RE games. The next MegaMan game is gonna cost more. It won't be $70. But it won't be $30 either.
Yes if they did a game based on the TV series it'd be really good. ❤ I feel like something that well done should take some time though.

We need demon castle war game.
How could you forget about the Xbox 360 classic: Neverdead??
Right now Konami is making a game based on Edens Zero.
koji igarashi isnt with konami thats why, and the castlevanias they made does nothing to do with the games.
The reason he left is because Castlevania games outside of Lords of Shadow weren't selling, with Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia being the final straw.
The point about Megaman makes no sense. Megaman games are super cheap to produce, they wouldn't need to raise the price to make profits.
