when courting any rival pack member, after you sleep in the territory and they come for you, you need to walk out of their territory then walk back in (without sleeping) and it will give a “pack wolves ahead” notification like a dispersal
It works It seems like it’s random when the other pack leader will stop being mad at you, so you’re just going to have to wait and keep trying until they accept you.
You did it mostly right man. I saw you posted and decided to try it out myself and basically just stayed in the outer hexes after killing the same gendered leader. I would enter the hex, howl, sleep, get chased out, and repeat for about 2 game days and at some point no wolves showed up to chase me out and I ran in the territory deeper and caught the scent of stranger wolves with the heart, I didn't howl and just slept and the courtable leader showed up with all the other courtable wolves in the pack. I did this on the Lucky pack.
I just did this, it took me a while to figure it out properly so thanks for making a tutorial !! I’m so glad they added this as a feature and achievement. It’s also so fun to have a family so early
@@justicedreams lmao my wolf Doll is dissecting all of the lr packs, she's killed almost all the pack leaders in the all of the packs, lucky, van winkle, lost river. big timber. jesus christ the list goes on
Saw this and decided I should give it a shot... I think I got VERY lucky. Chose a male wolf, first sleep in rival territory gave me the opposing male pack leader. I killed him, left, slept a couple times outside, then once in and immediately got the popup saying the pack leader is looking for a mate. It took me less time to do that than it did to track down two elk :') Now I have a family of 9!
Just the other day i managed chase out lost river and another pack. I killed off the entire other pack but lost river died off after i killed the alpha pair. I now control 1/3rd of the map as a 7 Year old female 😂
What worked for me : 1- Kill the alpha of the same sex. 2-Kill all adult wolves of the same gender as you ( Those who can take over as leaders ). 3- Power of youth skill. 4- Do not harm pups and other adult wolves of the opposite gender. 5-Keep leaving the territory and not fighting until the leader becomes romantically interested in you. This took me four days in game.
@@myoldaccount2553 yes, the new feature makes it so if the pack loses one or both leaders, at some point a subordinate has a chance of instead replacing the pack leader that died.
Yeah, I tryed to do something I know that people weren’t going to record yet, well maybe besides thorn056 but I think they are trying to get the biggest pack ever according to screenshots I have seen.
I did it on accident a few hours ago, but I think there's a bug, but all the pups died because they still kept jumping into hunts and fights when I woof them to back out, but idk how to end the year so I can have my own pups with the rival alpha.
You can only end the year if all pups are full experience and 80 pounds. Now if your pups die you just have to survive with your pack until the year ends.

The way I managed to court a pack leader was probably the wrong way 😅 well, I’ll be sure to remember this now

uhh disbanded one pack and almost disbanded another before I was able to court the lead male

This is an interesting way to play the game, and I want to try it. I think I'd feel really guilty killing the pack leader's mate though 😔
Now, I'm going to try this. I hope it works.
it does it just takes a while, and a lot of patience.

Now if your pups die you just have to survive with your pack until the year ends.
Interesting, I will look into that then, there have been some reports in the WQ Discord server of that too.
after you have full experience and they're all 80 lbs, rally to end the "young hunters" quest.

So filling the opposite gender mate and waiting a while will allow the leader to be courtable?
Yes but I might take a few tries before they become courtable it took me about 10 times before I got it to work.

Do you know if we can become a pack leader of a rival pack in any time of the year?
You have to be a lone wolf with no mate or pups. But yes I believe you can do it at any time
As long as you are a single/lone/dispersal wolf you can become a pack leader at anytime.
It was my first time when I tried the Beta testing 😂

Steam, steam game settings, find branches, then "public beta"

it might be a bug, since you're playing the beta version it's to be expected. I'd report the bug and maybe try a different save.
Sending in a bug report is probably all you can do at this point
