- Two weeks ago I recoded this lovely song by Iris Dement using 1st position D,G and A chords to assist a client of mine.
I play a lot of songs in D but I "choose" to play in 2nd position with a capo using C, F, and G chord shapes. like this.
Neither is wrong - personal choice, and I use my beloved "thumb over" F shape.

On a completely different subject cause I just saw a video of a "Blind B-26" (similar size to a OO) on UA-cam. French Luthier I had never heard of till now. Adi top and Hog bns. Incredible sounding guitar. Have you heard of Blind Guitars?
Hi Steve, i have heard OF them but not "heard" any. His "B26" looks like a Gibson L-00 but I have my Waterloo WL12, so I'm happy.
