I used to work at an upscale Inn in the Smith College area and used to inspect rooms. Even at the most expensive places you can tell how clean the room is by running damp TP along the floor at the bottom of the tub.. Try it next time you stay in a clean place, used to catch the slackers. Lol
Yikes! I always strip off the top bedding and inner blankets down to just the sheets. Then I being my own blankets from home.. Hotel's REUSE the top and middle blankets.. no wash in between guests.. trust me.. Even when staying at 4- 5 star hotels...
And I thought the Candlewood Suites me and my family stayed at in 2011 was bad. My sister found stains, candy inside the AC, what looked like crack powder on the counter, and I saw a baby roach in the bathroom. Last time we ever stayed at these extended stays. Lamont i feel you.

most of these people passing though, their homes look like this room your in anyway. my dad used to say ""you get what you pay for", if your not a good house keeper, and your home have a few bugs in it. then staying in a motel/hotel with stains and bugs in it will not bother you at all. for me, I always carry my own pillow case, a sheet and blanket. roaches, spiders doesn't bother me, they leave me alone and I leave them alone.
I only stay in hotels with a 4 or 4.5 rating on hotwire or 8-10 elsewhere (if 1-10 rating applies). Cheap hotels were better 20 years ago… cheap hotels now are the worst. I stayed in nice Motel 6 and Super 8’s in the 90s. No way would I pick a motel 6 now and Super 8s standards have gone way down too.
Same and I’m not staying anywhere un ArM3d either. Unfortunately I’m an army veteran but between the pandemic of mental illness and addiction and homelessness. It’s not safe anymore to stay anywhere that isn’t 4-5 star with security and a front dest attendant.
