Thank you and so happy to see this. In my early years, I spent a lot of time learning George Winston's songs by replaying the CD on repeat and trying to copy by ear. This was the Autumn album (also highly recommended). Wish I had John and Jonny back then so I could make sense of what I was doing, but seeing this 40ish years later brought me back to some great music and memories. RIP GW.
Gratefully thanks to all my teachers with Jonny May - I have tried to self teach myself for the last 20 years groping in the dark ! - Thanks to Jonny’s team with not only an A to Z structure and methodology of how to impart their musical knowledge but also with inspiration , fun and love of music - You even have saved a suicidal soul ! Thank you again and again .
John Thank you so MUCH to have made me discover George W. I really love your 2 vidéos and hope you make a full course on this wonderful soul up lifting music, I definately would buy it 😊 apart from 70 classic, that is what i Love the most and very hard to find Thank you for sharing your Amazing talent 🙏 blessings to you !
Fantastic! I'm so grateful for this. I found it so difficult to find theory and practical teaching on Ambient/ New Age/ Minimalist/ Relaxing (??) music. I enjoyed tremendously "6 Steps to Play Relaxing Piano (Int)." I got so much from it and every step was clear, the playing and personal instruction great. I looked for a course in Jonny May's website on this type of music. If there is enough demand, please create a course just for this type of music. Again, thank you SO much for the instruction in both Quick Tips. Outstanding.
Great tutorial - I love the relaxing simplicity of the music of George Winston: It is challenging to embrace simplicity. Is there any particular reason why you chose to notate those arpeggiated chords as add2, and not add9? Greetings from Oslo, Norway.
