OMG I have to go to this shop soon. Amazing. Nice to see someone still having the balls to keep a shop instead of just a website. Good on ya. Al defo visit you guys. 👍🏆🇬🇧
Any model shop that is thriving must be good, went to Rails once many years ago (20) and I must admit even then had @ great selection secondhand on display. Only criticism lack of car parking then.
I have to agree on the parking as the shop is on a main road. Luckily we needed some food shopping too so parked up the road on the Lidl store car park.
You are the reason why great shops like this are few and far between and in the long term cant survive. It costs money to offer great service and products that you can see and touch. Shame on you.
@@paulmoore120 When I first started to build my layout I got a lot of stuff from my local model shop. However, I was forced to transfer my allegiance to Hatton's when that closed. I have bought quite a lot of stuff from Rails, but other outlets are often cheaper.
Prices are generally inline with most other shops now but the one thing they don't offer is Free Shipping across the board above a certain value like several other shops do. They offer FS on the odd item but if you are spending even £125-£150 it should be included IMO
Fantastic looking shop, great people to deal with by e-mail via their app' and on the phone. A personal visit is definitely on my bucket list, once the Train Drivers stop sodding about messing up people's plans...
Certainly one of the best! Always had great customer service and even at one point where there was something I had originally on preorder with a deposit, when I went to cancel this item, they were kind enough to let me use the said-deposit on something else! :)
On the basis of this video I went to visit the new expanded shop. They didn't have a single thing on my shopping list. Got fed up of the "it's in our warehouse, not here" excuse and left. I shan't be back.
Pity you didn't do a close up on the prices and cases. I reckon they are an expensive shop. Currently on E-Bay they have an old Triang and Hornby coach (the LNER one with no interior), worth around £10 max! For £29.50 plus P&P!!!
Agreed. I'm still waiting for a pre-ordered model that was released 3 weeks ago and was paid for 7 days ago. I'm going to cancel my other pre-orders and go elsewhere. I've been a Rails customer for years and I'd never recommend using them again.

I love this store. Been using Rails of Sheffield since 2005 and they have always given me a great service in the last 19 years of using them.

Awesome model shop, but rather pricey. Any bargains are never any great discount! Thanks for uploading.

What Amazing Shop Center! Congratulation
Wow. Those displays are stunning! Makes me want to build my own model railway.
WOW, lovely shop😀

@@richardknowles963 Hi Richard. I wish this shop was closer to me , I’d be in there all the time . Thanks for watching 😊
@@HillcrestHalt Well I actually live in North Wales but my experiences online and over the phone have always been positive! :)
Nicely done,,thanks for sharing..😊
Beau magasin, nous n'avons malheureusement pas cela en France, merci pour la vidéo.
De rien. Content que vous ayez apprécié ma vidéo.
never been there but it looks great must try to get up there sometime
The shop is fantastic, especially the display cabinet section. 😊
The best model shop in the UK? The way things are going it's probably going to be the last model shop in the UK.
Fantastic shop !

Yup, I discovered the same issue in May. The staff went above and bevond however in getting the items I wanted sent to me by mail at no extra cost.
Amazing... nothing like it exists in Italy... not even remotely...
hat Amazing shopping Center!
I'm in absolute Railway Heaven
Thankyou. It is a rather awesome shop. Hope to get back up to Sheffield soon. 😊

Is Rails now the new Hattons😂
Better than Hamleys when I was nine…….!
I glad I found You...👍🐻❄️👍
I'm An Arctic Warrior living in Alaska.
Thankyou @GaryCSchade I love that my videos reach around the world. The layout I see in the shop on one of your videos is amazing.
Any used?
@@plunkervillerr1529 Hi . Yes they have a large room also full of used stock. 😊
Very good people to deal with
Now that Hattons is gone, maybe!
Mmmmmmm,nice.
It might be best for model railways, but not for all models.
Best Railway model shop, OK.
But if you're not into trains, Hobbycraft wins, hands down. And there's a lot better than Hobbycraft.
Worst customer service. Dreadful attitude to sorting faulty goods. Wouldn’t buy so much as a track rubber from them.
