Ive been curious about these for years, thank you!
Oh great! They’re really fun.
Do it, gb one they are spectacular!
That's pretty cool! Looks like it would be really relaxing to fly. I had a couple of gliders as a kid that I would slope soar at this old civil war park in NJ. The bunkers were long raised hills that faced the river and you could usually get some good wind coming off the water. They were super fun, but of course they met their demise pretty quickly lol.
That’s cool! I’ve always wanted to try slope soaring off of something other than a cliff~~
I am an Elf pilot too!
Hooray! I'm getting ready to move to Japan and the Elf is being shipped because I definitely want to keep flying mine~
@@MiniMicroFPV should be able to find some good sloping spots if you csn get to the coast. have fun.
Cool!
Like this content! Also been doing planes and sailplanes for decades. :)
Oh nice nice nice! Yeah I took quite a long break from planes and helis whilst focusing on FPV but I've been enjoying gliders again as I fly a DLG in the same area as FPV. In the past I lived near a great slope soaring site and that used to be my favorite form of RC.
@@MiniMicroFPV Yeah, sloping is great especially if you have a good spot nearby. Always had to drive quite a ways, and sometimes only to be disappointed by the lack of wind. But when things are right it’s so cool to have unlimited lift to fly as long as you want or can.
@@TweakRacer So true!
I was interested in this exact setup! I have a ELRS zorro… how long does the 1s 300mah last?
Cool! You know that’s a good question. I charge it before each flight and generally fly for about 30 minutes and the battery is usually at about 3.9v when I check it. I imagine it could fly for almost an hour continuously.
I have the same plane and servos, but an FrSky GRX-6 receiver. I get 70-80 minutes on a 1s-250 mah pack. I'm going to switch to a 300 to get more nose weight and expect to get at least 90 mins.
I built one of these a few years ago , spent about a week putting it together ( first time builder ). The day I went to maiden it , I tripped and crushed it :-(.
Haha oh no! That would feel terrible! This is really strong for its weight but I would definitely crush it if I fell on it. I hope you got back on the horse~~
@@MiniMicroFPV Yeah , I later bought Dreamflight Libelle, not as beautiful but flies great.
@@ScowlerJase Oh very nice. I was looking at those and they recently came back in stock. I have an alula from way back.
Crash Test Hobbies "Assassin" is pretty much indestructible.........I'm just sayin'
The Elf is a wonderful plane.
Sadly last march Russia destroyed Vladimir's workshop. His molds destroyed. And his stock of 26gr spread tow carbon fibre was destroyed. The only 26gr cloth in the world .designed by him.
