I have repurchased the Maelove Glowmaker for my vitamin C multiple times. It’s watery and immediately absorbs. I hated the Drunk Elephant, Timeless is great but I slightly prefer the Maelove,
Completely agree!! Hot and flashy did a video comparing the ph level and everything to other high end vitamin c and none of them compared like they didn’t even have the proper ph levels to even be an effective stabilized vitamin c. I won’t ever switch from timeless vitamin c!
I have so many foundations and Urban Decay just shared a makeup hack that is making me use way less! They shared a video of someone mixing half a pump of the Stay Naked foundation and the All Nighter setting spray, then applying it to the skin. I was blown away by the look when I tried mixing my foundation and setting spray. It helps the longevity and makes it much lighter. So I will not be using any of my foundations up any time soon 😂
@@AndreaMatillano yes! I was surprised I hadn't thought of it when I saw it. I believe if you look up Urban Decay on tik tok, you can find the clip I'm talking about.
I do something similar...I mix a pump of primer (I use the Milk Hydro Primer) with a pump or two of my foundation on the back of my hand. It helps the foundation last longer on my skin and it never looks cakey.
I’ve used a few different vitamin c serums and my favorite is the Timeless one. They usually have a sale going on and it’s very inexpensive to begin with compared to others. I think you can buy it at Target now too. However, I’m not sure if it’s cruelty-free.
Thank you Andréa! I value your opinion so much. I've been slowly coming back to YT after having Covid. Makes you really rethink your priorities for sure....I've been cutting down on buying a lot of makeup but am still trying out new stuff here and there 😊
i picked up the elf lash serum based on your recommendation and it is AMAZING !! my lashes were so brittle from using waterproof mascara every day and now they’re SO soft & i’ve seen noticeable growth !! i also think that mascara looks so much better on me now - thank you so much for recommending it 💘💘💘
I just completely finished my Ordinary Serum foundation, only foundation I've finished finished. My most frequent empty is the Colourpop Brow Boss gel, I love using it.
I love watching empties videos. I feel like I never use anything up... maybe I should get better at focusing on certain products. 🤔 Fantastic video as usual! 🤗❤
I have a hard time using up products in certain categories too but then other ones I feel like I fly through them! 😂 Thank you for taking the time to watch!
The customization of function of beauty is magic for my hair. I can't imagine using anything else! I only hope they'll expand their scent options a little more.
I am so glad to hear that their products well for you too! I would love to see more scent options too. I was trying to decide which one to try next- which one you usually go with?
I really love Maelove's Vitamin C Serum which they call their Glow Maker. Even if I don't finish the bottle in time (which has happened before since I also alternate based on what my skin is feeling), the ingredients are so great, the product is definitely more lightweight than the Drunk Elephant one, and the price is so much less. Highly recommend.
You should try maelove's glowmaker. It's a comparable dupe to skinceuticals vitamin c serum, but costs less than $30. I've been using it for a couple years and it's soooo good. I keep it in the fridge and haven't had any issues with it changing colors. First 3 ingredients are the same, but their vitamin c is 2nd instead of 3rd. I also don't use my vitamin c every day. I'd also like to add that vitamin c also helps with hyperpigmentation. Hope you find a VC that works for you!
Vitamin c serums should be refrigerated at all times .. think of it like orange juice .. if u keep orange juice out after a day of two if will eventually go bad.. so I suggest as soon as u use it put it pack in the fridge in order to keep it fresh ... hope this helps 😎
My favorite vitamin C product is the Peach & Lily Transparen-C Pro Spot treatment! I bought it after seeing James Welsh's results using it and I've been very pleased with how well it fades my hyperpigmentation after a breakout.
I have the same hair type as except mine is curly. I've discovered that if I use a clarifying shampoo every 6 weeks my other products perform so much better. I it's think because the build up of hairspray etc, doesn't get washed off properly with "normal" shampoos . You've has great success with all your products, 😊❣❣
hey there, pretty girl. you always pick me up when i’m feeling down and make my day. i loveeee your background. it suits you perfectly. i’ve been dying to try paula’s choice and function of beauty for a really long time. just fyi, both murad and ofra have reallllly great vitamin C nighttime moisturizers. maybe you should check them out. thank you for posting this video. i reallllly needed a little sunshine in my day. xoxo 😘
Hey Andrea, I use the Paulas choice Advanced Replenishing Toner (with HA), the Boost C15 (vitamin C) , the BHA liquid, and the Paulas Choice Retinol. I love all of them SO MUCH!
Mad hippie vitamin c! You can get it at Ulta and there’s always some kind of sale on and off on the skincare line. It has hyaluronic acid in it too and uses a more stabilized version of vitamin c.
I like your background! I useTimless vitamin C. The package seems to be designed well to keep it from going bad. I order directly from Timeless or from Target. (Target is a little cheaper.)
I have the Elf lash serum and I keep forgetting to use it! Your lashes look great so I’m going to start using it! I just purchased the Paulas Choice exfoliating product and I’m even more excited to use it tonight since you like it so much!!
Leahlani skincare is amazing! I use several of their products but the brightening serum is an awesome vitamin c serum. It’s a more natural skincare line.
Thanks, Andrea! 💚 I've been using the Timeless Vitamin C serum for about a year and love it. It has a great airless pump that keeps the serum effective. The price is really reasonable as well (I think it's around $25 with free shipping) and they often have great sales.
I love function of beauty 💗 I've been using them for about 8 months and I love the shampoo and conditioner! I have very straight, fine oily hair & it really helps with volume & keeping my oil under control
I second what Kelly says. I’ve been using timesaver vit c for years and it was always perfectly portioned for use before it changes color. So much more the case with the new packaging. It’s a good price ( I find some vit c product prices to be unnecessarily rediculously high) and, in my opinion, even more effective because it’s straight up serum. Because of how thin it is, I can layer it with no pilling, as opposed to formulas that deliver it in a more creamy formula like drunk elephant. Finally, the fact that it has ferulic acid maximizes the benefit the skin gets from the vit c.
I just finished a mini of the OH undereye brightening cream, and I totally agree with you. After so many years of no fragrance, it was too much. Vitamin C: I like the Paula's Choice Vitamin C Booster, but I can notice it turning before I finish with it, but it's the very end, and I use it every morning.
I actually really love the Soap & Glory Vitamin C serum. It’s 10% which is a really good concentration for most people, vegan & cruelty free, and if you’re not going to use in within 3 or 4 months, it’s only $15 (at Target). I have combo skin and sits beautifully under my skincare and makeup, would highly recommend!
It takes me foreverrrrr to use up foundation and I only have 1 in my collection at a time 😅 I think it’s bc a lot of times I’ll use powder foundation or go foundation-less especially now with masks.
I love the Maelove Glow Maker serum (it's a vit c serum). It's so light weight and works perfectly under makeup. I tried it last year because of Jessica Braun and haven't looked back. I've also started using their NIA 10 Calming serum at night. I like their price point as well.
I have been hearing so many good things about that brand! I think I will have to pick up their Vitamin C serum next and try it out. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the brand!
Maelove glowmaker. Ive tried several other vitamin c products but I ALWAYS go back to this one! I have oily skin and this doesn't feel heavy or sticky and wears great under makeup! Plus, Jessica Braun recommends it!
I have been using the Ordinary vitamin c powder and mixing it with their Resverratrol serum. That way I don’t need to worry about the vitamin c expiring. It’s also cost effective. I remember reading that vitamin c lasts for 48 hours on your skin so I use it every other day.
I've tried the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Foundation and I love how it looks on my skin. Even though I have oily skin it works well to cover up my acne. I am using the 111Skin Vitamin C Brightening Booster and apply after I use sunscreen and it works so well
I really love the BFD cleansing oil. I recently got it again after a couple years using different cleansing balms which always ended up irritating my eyes. So glad I'm back to the fourth ray!
Was always scared to buy a brow pen, but just bought the Milani one. I was like, damn girl, why did u wait so long! Makes such a difference. Gonna try the UD or Benefit one next. Love ur videos! 💞💞
I bought the nyx lift and snatch on your recommendation and I love it! I got a shade that errs more on the light side and it’s pretty foolproof! Might be an idea for brow pen beginners!
I also have wavy/curly hair. I have one set of shampoo and conditioner to encourage my curls. If I want to go straight, I use a straightening product. Keep both products! It's worth it!
I don't know if you use a skin care fridge but that helps the vitamin C stay fresh longer in my experience. I use the drunk elephant one as well and It's lasted over a year being in a fridge. I always just try to keep anything skin care in dark cool spots and they seem to do well.
I’m with you on the Paula’s Choice BHA. It’s holy grail for me and I’ve been using it for over 20 years now. They recently came out with a cleansing balm in a squeeze tube and I really like it. You might try it sometime!!

I think I have all of their vit C products lol. I also like the Skinceuticals vit C ferulic acid (more expensive) but it's good 👍.
I love your background the flowers gives them a touch of color I got the colourpop pretty fresh foundation and I like , I’m picky on foundation I don’t like when it feels heavy on my skin and the colourpop feels good on my skin
Missha Vita C Plus Spot Correcting and Firming ampoule or Glow Recipe vitamin C serum are also great. Love the Drunk Elephant one, too, but I try to buy it in minis.
I buy the C-Firma mini that is sold in a set with the B-Hydra and it’s not an awful deal compared to the full size (as long as you also like B-hydra)...I’ve never had the mini size go bad on my and it lasts a decent amount of time.
Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum is nice, I started it last March right before the lockdown & wasn't sure if I was seeing a difference but about 2-3months later once I started seeing some family & coworkers they complemented how much my acne scars had lighten and my face looked brighter. After that I knee it was the vitamin c serum.
I use the ordinary ascorbyl glucoside 12 %. I’ve heard it’d a very stable version of vit c and it’s not sensitizing. But a lot of people are talking about timeless one and I’m intrigued.
There is a brand called versed at Target they have a brightening serum it's in a pink bottle it's only 15 bucks it works amazing it has even my skin tone out and I've only gone through 1 1/2 bottles I have the same problem usually my vitamin C serums go bad before I use them this one is the perfect size and perfect container
I have repurchased the Maelove Glowmaker for my vitamin C multiple times. It’s watery and immediately absorbs. I hated the Drunk Elephant, Timeless is great but I slightly prefer the Maelove,
Timeless vitamin C. It's not too expensive and it is an airless pump bottle
I second this and the website has great sales sometimes.
Same. I switched to Timeless but used to use Drunk Elephant.
Just got mine at 30%off got another serum too that I haven’t used before. Yeah you can’t go wrong with this one.
That Kenra hairspray is the BEST!
Timeless vitamin C can just not be beat for me. I some times stray and try another brand. I ALWAYS come back and I always notice such a difference.
