    It's so pretty I'd be frightened to use it. 😂

      I've been thinking about that too :) but I built it to use it. So I need o overcome the first project :)

    Did you not clamp the plywood herringbone pieces, or is it just not in the vid? Looks amazing, about to start on my own version.

    I showed your mallet to my wife and the first thing that she said was it’s too beautiful to be used. If she thinks that it’s too beautiful too use then it definitely is. By any chance do you ever sell patterns on how to build things, it’s a great way to make extra money since you build things anyway.

      Thanks Navarro 🙂 Haha, thinking the same. I'll either make a nice place for it or I need to start using it. ;) No, not at the moment. I don't have the plans/patterns available for purchase. But thank you, yes, that is something I have been considering. 👍

    What are you doing with the router during the herringbone pattern section (1:43 & 2:05)

      I have the same question ! Would it be possible to make a short video how to build this quick jig ?

      @@chefou8778 I've been on a real binge of this guy's videos, and think I've got it figured out. That's a surfacing router bit being used to flatten that section. Look for his video/page about "Multi Purpose Router Jig | Dados, Mortises, Surface Flattening"

      Hey Nicholas, I see. I am using the router to trim the herringbone panel to the desired width as well as to smooth the surface to make it perfect for glue up. I am using this router base I built - it's great exactly for these purposes :)

    This is amazing work.. I love it!
    What are the dimensions of the plywood pieces you used to make the herring bone pattern? It looks like you mentioned 9mm plywood, but it looks more like 19mm?
    Beautiful craftsmanship 👍

    • @AllFlavorWorkshop
      @AllFlavorWorkshop  8 місяців тому

      Hello there, it is coming from a 9mm thick plywood sheet. I cut strips to around 22 mm, turned them and glued them together. Add a some buffer for sanding and shaping the handle. :)

    this is beautiful! I've been buying up small boards of various exotic woods at a rockler store that I recently discovered in my city and now I know what they need to be used for! purpleheart, curly maple, wenge, canarywood....thank you for this video! It truly inspired me to go make one of these myself!
