The tragic case of Charles Bradley. Just after he started blowing up, he passed away. If anyone deserved recognition after a sad life, he is up there, along with Van Gogh.
I just like how you can just tell Charles's life has been so hard. Some people wear it on their sleeves. Some have the thousand yard stare. Mr. Bradley sings it like an angel.
He amazes me every time I watch him. Its almost like hes losing his brother all over again every time he performs this track. Its seems he's revisiting that horrible memory and it really comes through. Theres been alot of great people/bands that have come along in music through the years but I feel he is most definitely one of the most authentic things to happen to music since janis joplin. I also think people that appreciate his sound definitely understand the true definition of "good music"
@jackofalltrades156, the crowd was definitely into his performance. It's just hard to tell because we didn't film their reactions and the audience mic isn't turned up. But it was definitely a full and adoring crowd. He blew everyone away!
Charles exemplifies the true definition of soul, what a tremendous display of emotion and compassion for what he does. A true artist in my book. The trumpet player is truly amazing the way he plays that horn makes my foot stomp, The drummer.......his face. haha
Love Charles.. Knowing him he’s looking down on us crying, but he’s also looking for ways to help make our lives better too.. He already has ..... 🙏🏼✊🏼💪🏼
I want everything. I want to play trumpet like that dude in the band; I want to cry listening to his songs; I want to invite him over to Norway for some gigs; I want listen and listen; I want to write songs like he does; I want to believe in time coz Bradley recorded his first LP last year when he was 63 god-damn!
It's even worse when you know Charles only stayed alive because his brother said if Charles couldn't live for himself,. then live for him, his brother... :(
There was a time in my life When it ran so cold Can't find a friend Anywhere at all So my brother said to me Charles gotta stand tall Because life is full of sorrow Heartaches and pain Get it again I woke up this morning My momma she was cryin So I looked out my window Police lights was flashing People was screaming So I ran down to the street My friends grabbed my shoulder And he said these words to me Life is full of sorrow So I have to tell you this Your brother is gone Heartaches and pain Heartaches, heartaches and pain Heartaches and pain Heartaches and pain Heartaches and pain Heartaches and pain
Muito bom o som desse camarada!sonoridade bacana, refinada!lembrei de Janis Joplin,Joe Cocker e um pouco James Brown!muito bom mesmo! No Time For Dreaming!!!!!
Saw Charles twice in the UK. Brilliant performer. Second time we saw him we were on the guest list. The only thing that bothers me about this performance is that one one of the horn players was out of tune, I think it was the Trumpet player (apologies if I am wrong) different line up to the band I saw in the UK. Their performance was impeccable. RIP Charles x
God I love this guy. Great song, great performance. I wonder if they were up all night playing or what cause the horn player's lips sound shot in every song in this set.
You would think the trumpeter would realize he is having an off night, and would then pull back a bit... not this guy; he doubles down, and tries to drown out those who are actually on their game.
As a mediocre trumpeter myself I agree. Not his best day on the job... Better take a step away from mic.. Otherwise: Charles Bradley absolutely beautiful!
@introvertedstoner i saw him in fort greene park and it was one of the best shows of my life. it is a little park on hill in brooklyn and while he was playing storm clouds started gathering behind him. slow sad music and slow growing clouds. they let out a huge storm right at the encore and no one left. i told a friend to go see him in vancouver and she broke down and started crying through the whole show i heard. i guess the point is when he plays it feels like a good storm.
I am, and I know that some days I don't play perfectly because I am human and I make mistakes. It would be very prideful and cocky of someone to poke fun at this guy, as if they have never had an off-day and/or demonstrated imperfection in some area of their life. -Blessings
sorry guys but why even play music that doesnt make you happy. im sure this guy is a jazz trained drummer and has a billion percent potential but got coaxed into playing with this shit backing band. Or hes just mad at the trumpeter.
Amy O'Neil First off, they're a pretty damn tight backing band imo, especially the rhythm section. Also, everyone expresses emotions differently. People tell me I look bored or pissed off a lot of the time but inside I'm just a very anxious person.
This world is colder without him here.
he looked really stressed out. i hope his pain is gone now. rip charles
It has always been until this beautiful person appeared, and it will always be since he disappeared.
We need him now more then ever. Rip
Not this week, it's been hot af this week.

This is the kind of music we've all been missing, truthful, honest, and real. Rest in peace my brother.
Love this song, Bradley was soooooo underrated. Literally not one bad song from this guy.

No more heartaches and pain, Charles. Rest well.

This Session is really Amazing rest in paradise Charles Bradley love you brother ♥️ peace to the excellent Menahan street Band !
@jackofalltrades156, the crowd was definitely into his performance. It's just hard to tell because we didn't film their reactions and the audience mic isn't turned up. But it was definitely a full and adoring crowd. He blew everyone away!
Man thats what we call " crying one's heart out" thanx hearfully!😊
RIP Mr. Bradley. First song I heard was your cover of Changes a few years back and been listening ever since.
Charles exemplifies the true definition of soul, what a tremendous display of emotion and compassion for what he does. A true artist in my book. The trumpet player is truly amazing the way he plays that horn makes my foot stomp, The drummer.......his face. haha
The bass player is amazing in this band. Damn I want to experience this live for myself. Charles Bradley live shows seem like quite the experience.
What a great singer. I'm so sad that he passed. Keep it up wherever you are!
Love Charles.. Knowing him he’s looking down on us crying, but he’s also looking for ways to help make our lives better too.. He already has ..... 🙏🏼✊🏼💪🏼

Knowing that his brother was really killed, it just rips me up when he sings "your brother is gone!" then lets it rip.
It's even worse when you know Charles only stayed alive because his brother said if Charles couldn't live for himself,. then live for him, his brother... :(
@@duaneholtzman149 I hope he is at peace now.

Trumpet = dying goose. Charles Bradley = awesome.
This mans passion and emotion that he puts into his music is truly amazing. His music is absolutely captivating.
The guitarist has the soul guitar technique down really well and Charles Bradley's voice is honestly unbelievable! Goosebumps
CB is the man! So glad we were able to film him for WGBH Music playing live at The Paradise in Boston.
RIP Charles. Thanks for the tunes and positive vibes
Am I the only one who thinks the imperfect trumpet is kinda cool? Gotta love the human element, gives the music so much more character.
How should the musicworld be, if only 10% of all the ''artists'' perform with the same passion and emotion as this guy.Awesome!
I'm glad i found this. Soul music is still being made :-) Anyone know other good soul artists of this time?
No adequate words to describe how this man's voice pierces my soul. Just amazing!
Quando Charles começa a cantar sentimos que ele cantava com a alma

There was a time in my life
When it ran so cold
Can't find a friend
Anywhere at all
So my brother said to me
Charles gotta stand tall
Because life is full of sorrow
Heartaches and pain
Get it again
I woke up this morning
My momma she was cryin
So I looked out my window
Police lights was flashing
People was screaming
So I ran down to the street
My friends grabbed my shoulder
And he said these words to me
Life is full of sorrow
So I have to tell you this
Your brother is gone
Heartaches and pain
Heartaches, heartaches and pain
Heartaches and pain
Heartaches and pain
Heartaches and pain
Heartaches and pain

I think you read way too much into it and underestimate the band!
Amy O'Neil

Whats wrong with the trumpeter ?
Meu Deus! ❤️👏
