Lessons Learned: Judging How a Horse Turns in the Roundpen

Studying how a horse uses his body, specifically his head and neck to turn in the roundpen, can tell you a lot about his athletic ability.

I have two horses that could show the difference quickly. A little red Mustang gelding and a black mustang mare. My little red guy has a beautiful roll back and it doesn’t look like a big brick just throwing himself across then compare him to my black mare who looks like she has a metal pole through her body. 😭
