30 ಟನ್ ಮೀನು ಗುಡ್ಡೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೆ ಈ ದೋಣಿ? Large Scale Fishing at Tonka Beach | Travel Vlog
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 вер 2024
- Tonka Beach at Honnavara is located in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka state in India, by the Arabian sea. It is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts due to its rich marine biodiversity. Fishing is not only a leisure activity but also a livelihood for the local fishermen.
It is also the delta point where the river Sharavati joins the Arabian Sea. A variety of fish species, such as anchovy, tuna, mackerel, and barracuda, can be found in the waters around Tonka Beach Honnavara. We have tried to show the delta point and how fishermen catch the fish and the process of selling it in large scale.

Dear Sir and Madam,
The 30 tons fish which you are describing in Vlog are nothing but SARDINES. Sardines have been caught by HUMANS since ages. Sardines are called in different names even by Greeks, Romans, Egyptians etc.
SOME CURIOUS FACTS ABOUT SARDINES.
1. Fresh sardines are mainly sold as pickled, smoked, or preserved in cans. Therefore they are processed generally in fish mills.
2. The word SARDINE IS SYNONYMOUS WITH FISH OIL BECAUSE SARDINE is considered as the safest source of fish oil as they are low in mercury content and other heavy metals.
3. Schools of sardines can be miles long and are often visible from an airplane. Watching a school of sardines move, twisting and turning in near unison, is mesmerizing.
4. Sardines are an important part of the open water food web. Many birds, marine mammals and other fishes eat sardines as a mainstay of their diets.
5. It's been a boom and bust history for the Pacific sardine fishery in the US. During the 1920s through the 1940s, sardines were the most important and largest commercial fishery in California: annual yields peaked at 700,000 metric tons in 1936 and 1937.
However, under high demand for canned fish, fish meal and oil, this species was fished to the point of commercial extinction. Nowadays there are hardly enough SARDINES to fish IN PACIFIC, ATLANTIC OCEANS AND MEDITERRANEAN SEA.
Thank you for the information. Happy to see your comment after a long long time

I am pretty much alive and kicking. I am 63 but still continue to work. It is nearly impossible for us to eke out a livelihood as UA-cam bloggers EXCEPT A FEW LUCKY ONES. In the US, there is no retirement age but in order to make money one should have both brain and brawn working in unison. If there is any issue in either of them then that individual is out of the door. No mercy in the capitalistic society.
