Watching your videos has helped me with playing phasmophobia tremendously, and i'm now the expert in my group of friends for the most part, although playing some 10x games with my limited knowledge hasn't always gone the best, but I had a game recently where I thought a ghost was a shade and we were just sitting in the ghost room, but some randoms i was playing with said it was a banshee, but it wasn't doing ANYTHING even with zero sanity, It wasn't even hunting or using its ability.... 13 minutes and it had done EIGHT interactions... And i confirmed it was a banshee via the banshee scream. Fun but alot of time wasted due to its inactivity...! LMao

Such a little detail that doesn't need to be there but the devs put it in anyway. I love this game
My favourite difficulty if I wanna make a relatively big amount of money with almost 0% chance of dying is getting professional as preset, and do following changes:
1. Breaker ON by default
2. No Ghost room changes
3. Turn OFF sprint
4. No Cursed possesion
5. Low Ghost activity
6. Low roaming frequency
7. Heavy rain
8. Turn on screens
This is a nice way to keep the game investigative. You should try lowering the evidence by one when you're ready so you can use your knowledge. It makes the game feel even more like a ghost detective simulator.
@@pastorlul2384 I feel like taking away evidence in a sprintless low activity mode is just asking for frustration. Their whole point is being able to get easy, safe evidence runs without the no sprint being that bad.
@@LS-bw9xz yeah it wouldn't be very fun to me either, even though I love nightmare mode. I think looping ghosts and figuring out hunt-related clues without relying on a smudge is a big part of the enjoyment. As you said, what OP was suggesting is more of a reliable XP and money farming difficulty.

@@pastorlul2384 for that kind of gameplay I generally prefer to preset nightmare and convert it to 0 evidence run. This one's just for fun. The one I said was if you purely wanna grind as much money as possible without losing equipment ( non consumables ofcourse) and you are fine with an average of 15-20 min per investigation.

that change when they set the objectives to only include items you have unlocked was a quality of life improvement. It was so annoying to get an objective to get the ghost to walk through salt before I unlocked salt, holy shit.

I usually play some Professional games to warm up, then play Nightmare games through my rotations of the small maps. Occasionally, I'll hop into a bigger map for a little something extra too.
1:03:06 about the smudge thing. It has been patched in a previous update, don't know which one exactly, but it has been patched. I don't know it it actually works in game but according to the devs, it was patched. Just look at the wiki about smudge.

I do only play nightmares mode cause it's the best way to play this game base on my feelings. Due to the fact that you need to test ghost behaviour as well to distinct the type.

I play on Intermediate... because I play solo, when I can. I'm weirdly obsessed with the exhilarating feeling I get, especially after a successful investigation. I started playing Nightmare mode recently and I have been loving it. I like having my monitors so I add those in, but I like the extra challenge of only 2 evidence and needing to really know my ghosts… Those Yokai keep tricking me, though. I swear they just don’t hear me singing Queen at the top of my lungs in the ghost room.
Good video as always! About what difficulty I play, it's 90% nightmare for me and my friends, we usually find this more exciting

I usually only play nightmare because of the game knowledge requirement. It makes getting the ghost right feel way more rewarding.
I have no salt mortality, ill take 9 all day. Actually, you were the one that taught me i could put 9 down all in one spot and take 9 photos lol.

I play 100% Nightmare and the occasional insanity if my friends are down. Once I convinced them to do the 15x on Tangy 🤣 it was terrifying and hilarious

getting perfect games on high difficulties is the fun of the game and I always try to get each time I play.
6:36 I would play nightmare mode, but since I'm mostly playing with friends with less experience I'm sticking to professional, even tho I learned a lot from watching the terrible trio that I sometimes can tell the ghost with 1 or no evidence at all
When I'm playing casually I love nightmare mode - but I also like to speedrun so for speedruns I always do professional!
I play in VR and I like to hold tier 3 EMF in one hand and Camera in other. I use EMF to locate interactions and take photos that way. I never use salt
I feel like the objective of the game needs to be changed to exorcism.
Like first determine what kind of ghost it is, then go through the procedures to exorcise it from the home.
The devs of this game don't want it to be that kind of game, they don't want you to be able to defeat the ghost.
If you are looking for something like that though there is a game called Demonologist that you do exorcise the ghost at the end, Insym also played that (:
@@nit0134 Yeah I know, played most similars. I just would like more objectives, and also it feels very odd to just find out what "kind" of ghost it is and just leave it there to keep haunting.
@@ForsakenSanityGaming I think the in game reason/logic for that is we're just going in to investigate what kind of ghost it is to for the actual ghost extractors to go safely remove it.
We're essentially the person who just goes to check out the situation
@@ForsakenSanityGaming We identify, and then the extraction team goes in next. Perhaps the extraction team is introduced in a sequel game. Phasmophobia is an *investigation* game. The unique concept and chill vibes are core to its identity. If you want to exorcise ghosts, play a different game.
@ Yeah I'm just voicing what I'd like in this specific game. Everyone's liking different things and the devs won't do anything they don't want to, which I won't be shaming them for. Except maybe being outright unfair to players.
I play nightmare casually, but lots of times I do custom and make it only 1 evidence. I also like to increase ghost speed normally.

The same sh1t happened to me on sunny meadows. In the hallway (near the chapel) it was freezing temp, but the ghost was in the middle room of the left wing, and the ghost was revenant. Definitely something wrong with this map nowadays.
1:05:07 My husband and I were playing the other day. We had to choose between a goryo or a spirit. Did a spirit test THREE times, and all three times it hunted at the three minute mark. Put spirit confidently. It was a goryo How I felt when I saw what it was 🤡🤡🤡

camp woodwind is hell, i was doing the ranger challenge as i am a newer player(a month in). I got a demon with the blood moon on that map and it was not fun lmao

Finding the bone 🦴 and cursed items the tier 1 EMF seems to detect them (how I locate them especially on bigger maps) not sure if there’s any benefit between that and other EMF tiers. As I don’t have everything opened.
What are the settings for the game during this ghost hunting run ? I’m looking for a casual run but still offers some scary situations.

I have my own custom difficulty doing no evidence runs to help teach myself but also getting great xp from an 11.52x bonus

I play nightmare mode with friends since it’s more chill, but I typically play no evidence games for that sweet paycheck 💰
I had been playing on professional mode, few weeks ago I started playing nightmare mode. I tried insanity mode for a while, forgot I had set it as insanity mode and the next day I played I was like, why am I only getting 1 evidence LOL, played 6 rounds, failed 3 guesses, died only twice.
Do I play Nightmare Mode regularly?
Used to a lot, but now I've been playing a custom no evidence or Insanity just because I want money/experience. Plus, thanks to a lot of playing (and watching) Nightmare is a little too easy

Play nightmare a lot of the time, especially when my friends are on.
Normally do custom with 3 evidence, sometimes 2. Normal Speed, 200% sanity drain. Comfortable doing hunts and 2 evidence, just prefer not to most the time.
2 evidence doesn't bother me as much as the hiding 1 evidence. I'm not good with hunt speeds, if it's not a super obvious one like Deogen, Revenant, or Thaye. Am comfortable with a lot of abilities though. And will end a lot of hunts with only evidence, because I have enough info to be confident.
I prefer to play on one or no evidence while solo. Nightmare with friends because they're relatively new

I play nightmare mode about 50% of the time, with the rest being a mixture of mostly professional and a bit of no evidence
When I want to chill I just play Professional....my fav difficulty.....reminds me of old Phasmo....and when I wanan tryhard is either Nightmare or Insanity or custom difficulty.

I actually play on Professional - nightmare can be too tough for me.
Professional MINIMUM for me.... I do find it boring when I find out the ghost super fast before it can do much of anything. I have gotten the ghost before it does anything, because the evidence was super quick. Even on professional. I have gotten a little bored of professional, but I do still play it because I have friends who refuse to play higher. But I have drawn a line, no lower than professional because it gets boring. If our sanity is too low, they can stay in the van and drop off items at the door if they are scared.
Also, if we can't find the bone on a small map, we say "we didn't order boneless ghost!" we try to do perfect game every time on professional. Few exceptions being boneless ghosts where we can't find it, the big maps (one person is assigned to search the whole time for the bone, if we get everything else and no bone, we call it good enough), impossible tasks (ghost event on shade is so damn hard to reliably get... If we have that left and wait for 5 minutes and nothing I call it), messed up too many photos ofc, and if someone crashes too early in the game.
