Strange to think there will be a generation of angler watching this that won’t appreciate the greatness they have just witnessed. Carp fishing legends. Brilliant podcast 😎
So pleased to see Ritchie looking so well. It was a long time coming but I know my mum and dad (John and Eileen Walker) would be very proud of you Ritchie. Thoroughly enjoyed the podcast and can’t wait for part two.
Absolutely loved this and really looking forward to PT2 , love Richie McDonald and good to hear from the great sir Peter springate Two of the legends of our great sport.
Richie came to Cardiff and did a talk for the Carp Society. Afterwards a few of us ended up in a house in Splott for a bit of a bash The thing that I noticed about Richie was he wanted to know about us and our angling It was an absolutley brilliant night and we were all in stitches Richie is a LEGEND
That's one of the best podcasts I've ever seen. Looking forward to part 2. Bumped in to Richie & Pete years ago at carp society early meet ups at the pub. My mate fished with Richtie on Richmond Park, and a surprise once was when my washing machine broke down & i opened the door to the engineer & there was Pete Springate! Lol.
👏👏👏👏 another great video Mathew Hey nothing wrong with "morning wwood" me say !! Saw Mongoose in Ochi ,there was a colony of em out back of the Hotel Mon how long does it take Mokko to roll that spliff !! I'd have been hammered by the time it takes him !! 😄 Blessings an raspek to all in da yard 🙏 🇯🇲🇬🇧
Ritchie was my hero when I was a kid in the 80s, I’m so glad he’s back living the dream. I would love to sit on the bank with him looking out and chatting.
EXCELLENT chat! old-skool carpers are the best PERIOD! met John Walker on rodney meadow back in 1983 TOP man, very helpful 🎣🙂btw...when ya gonna get Simon Bater on?
Pete Springate was the man that transitioned me to proper carp fishing that early 90's Wraysbury brace where he was drenched wearing the green Richworth T shirt even though I was catching carp it was basic with luncheon meat a crystal drennan wagler float he opened the world to carp rods bigger reeels optonic alarms and boilies
absolutely brilliant podcast. very very enjoyable. the redmire commons coming from Alders was completely new to me. I'm assuming they went into the Trout Lake as there were loads of them in there & I thought that was where the Big Lake commons came from over the years? Anyone expand on this? Never knew about all of those gents living in Epsom until Richie mentioned it. I had friends who lived on Downs Road & I would have been up there punishing them something rotten if I'd known as a kid :D

Superb, can't wait for part two.
Absolutely legendary
Could listen to these 2 legends for hours on end, bit different from today's so called legends
Amazing the pair of them absolute icons ❤
I hope some of todays young carp anglers listen to this and get something from it.
Well done all for you.
Considering that this is so professionally done, we have to wait for a while to see any images that are being discussed. It's great though so thanks.

True legends 100%
Brilliant
Andy little, Kevin maddocks, robin dix, Terry Dempsey are a few I would like to see on here. Also more from sir Pete and Ritchie naturally
2 of the Guvnor’s
Richard McDonald Richmond park 🤣 🙏 from the the hippys
Should get dennis davies on his early longfield stories be worth a listen
If it wasn't for the drink he would of done great things and made alot of money
Two of goats of carp fishing has ever Seen! Shame it was done by Richard he's got to be the worst hosts in the game
Ritchie only carp fished for about 10 years so wouldn't really call him a GOAT
Hard to find the type of fishing they had nowadays.
In twenty years time you'll wish you had the fishing of today
