Getting a colonoscopy today, the prep is the most difficult part. My first colonoscopy was preformed while I was awake, it was awful and painful. Second one I was asleep no problem! Peace of mind is worth the prep!
just done yesterday it's very painful no anesthesia here in japan but i survived.you need a high pain tolerance!

I just got mune done for the same reason, everything looks normal all my tests are normal 😢 nobody knows whats wrong with me lol

@@funkyfresh2053 hope you get it figured out; all my tests came back normal too which is why I had to get it done. They said gastritis. But then wanted to do the capsule endoscopy as well since upper endoscopy and colonoscopy can only go so far. With the capsule they were able to see I have an erosion in my small intestine. 🥹 finally have answers.

@@MOAB-UT do you really think thats not the first thing the multiple medical professionals who are helping me recommended? I promise you I've tried the blandest of diets and it didn't do much for me but make me miserable lol,

Papsmears start at 18 so why colonoscopies start at 45 !? 😭😭he made it 2 years and left behind his wife; 2 small kids and all of us 💔

We are sorry for you loss ❤️ stories like this is why we urge patients to get screened. The age recommended for colonoscopy is now 45. 40 if you have a family history or 10 years younger than the family member at the time of diagnosis.

@@spunlace1 Dr found nothing harmful. No polyps and no inflamation. Just an internal hemorrhoids. The Dr suspected that was the caused of bleeding. No more bleeding post colonoscopy.

Having mines done on 4-25-24. had a case of colotis and bloody stools are uber scary. I think i got an infection from bacon that wasn't fully cooked.
What did the colonoscopy find?
@@AngelChristinaaaEverything was clear. No polyps! Not sure how long the procedure took but I woke up in recover asking when will it start lol.

Can I get colonoscopy done without anesthesia? Doctor told me to get this test done.
You would have to speak directly to your provider for the options they may have.
I did, but I wouldn't want to be the first for a provider who isn't used to doing them this way.
