Actually the feeding Anna in front of his sister scene is very deep. His sister loves him and was obviously aware of his mental state so that scene is not only her watching him healing and being happy but also is the person you have loved since day 1 (the ending) growing up in front of your eyes. So nostalgic, it made me tear up.
Yes my friend.. this fact can not to be noticed.. but the way his sister loves and ever try to support ichikawa, is another lovely thing about this anime.. we already seen some moments in anime but in manga we can see more how many kana loves and try help his little brother.
Sakurai wrote a little novella prequel with a few drawings, depicting Ichikawa's time in middle school before he grew close to Yamada. He was so depressed and full of self loathing, but Kana kept trying to connect with him and help him out. She'd go into Kyoutarou's room on the excuse of borrowing a chapter of the manga Baki, and use it as an excuse to talk to him about what he was going through. She's SUCH a good sister who clearly adores her little brother.

at the beginning when he says that she's a celebrity it's in context that he doesn't want to double ride on his bike with her anymore (like they did in the last episode on valentines day) because it's against the law in japan. He's really being considerate here.
I relate to Kana a LOT this episode. Being kinda bitter, but happy about her younger sibling enjoying himself with another person in ways she never did.
19:07 I LOVE how natural and unguarded Ichi said "You are so pretty." It's just like the impact of Wakana's "Beautiful." remark when he is dozing off on the train in My Dress-Up Darling, right?
Some of his unfiltered (like his sister) responses to Yamada are some of the best. And yeah it was totally like the scene from MDUD.
Ichikawa not wanting to run unto anyone he knows on his date with Yamada, and then IMMEDIATELY running into his sister, never fails go be hilarious. 🤣🤣
In the first season Yamada carried the relationship. This second season Ichikawa carried the relationship, especially since this moment. Ichikawa's grow is so good.

I feel like ppl are really confused about the ribbon at the beginning of the episode. The thing is in Japan they take it seriously if they see students in uniform just hanging out during school time, cops might approach and try to contact their parents and stuff like this. Now an alternative for girls is using a Ribbon, to make the school uniform distance a bit, and it's a known maneuver by students so they can hang out after school without being bothered by cops.
You might be thinking that cops have too much extra time in Japan if they are wasting time doing this kind of think, and you are probably right.

What I like about this episode is how Ichikawa growth up mentally, like he is more mature than back then. My boy not letting his ego win over Yamada's future. Man he is such a chad!
And if you notice he is also growing physically, he got a little taller!

The last episode was so good in the sense that it was so romantic, while this episode is good in a depressing way. I totally understand why Ichikawa is confused about what to feel about Yamada's job. I can't imagine what I would do if I were in a similar situation as him. I have so many thoughts, like what if she gets a role as a leading lady? Would I let her or not? What if there is a kissing scene? What if it is a more intimate scene? (I think that making someone in a relationship do these kinds of roles is just not right. You can't justify it by saying it is just "work" because you are still forcing someone to act like someone else's partner. They might just be acting, but they are still doing things a couple would do, no? For example, in kissing scenes, they are acting, but they would still kiss.) What if she gets abused, harassed, or taken advantage of by a producer or something? What if I ruin her career just being with her? I don't want to be the reason for her to quit what she loves, but I don't want to get hurt, either. Aside from the hundreds of what-ifs, I would also feel so out of place and distant. He bought her a cake from a convenience store while the people she knows at work can buy her high-end macarons. Not only is my status lower, but my ability to give her gifts is also lower. I really understand the turmoil he is going through, and it hurts. I hate the show business. It can lead to so much drama and potential abuse. That's why I wasn't sure if I liked that Yamada was on that type of job when I was first reading the manga. Damn, I just feel so much for Ichikawa. Despite all of this, he keeps trying to be better for himself and Yamada. This is why I really respect Ichikawa as a character. You can call him whatever you want, but you can't discredit the bravery and dedication he is showing just to be with Yamada.
Edit: Another reason why I hate show business when it comes to romance is the issue of Rushia/mikeneko and Mafumafu. I know the issue was not only because of the job they both have but more of the type of person Rushia is, but still.

17:20 Funnily enough, despite the fact that Norio Sakurai's a lady, she says she puts most of herself into *Kyoutarou*, not Yamada. So, it actually wouldn't surprise me if another male character got bits of her personality. I'm only an amateur writer myself, but there's one female character type I've written who's basically...well, in Jungian terms, my "anima," or I guess you could call her my feminine side. Maybe the reverse is a bit of what Sakurai pulls on for characters like Kyoutarou or Yuuki here.
