Such a shame he didn't win that 1982 World Cup. The debate of Maradona vs. Platini vs. Zico was the first proper "Ronaldo vs. Messi" best in the world style debate. Maradona ended up winning that debate in the eyes of the majority in 1986 and solidified it at Napoli. Which means Zico and Platini aren't really put in the convos they should be in. Same with Cruyff, he deserves to be in that debate but the lack of an international trophy hurt his perception.
