The recoil effect on the guns is fantastic

Thanks Wessex. Our armourer and production design team built a custom hydraulic system under the artillery gun to make them recoil when the blank rounds were fired. We hid the main hydraulic unit in the ammo bunkers in each gun battery. Artillery was so important in this battle we wanted to do it right! Sadly we couldn't get 18 x 105mm L5 Pack Howitzers, only five, and we didn't have enough money to create more gun battery's digitally. In reality there was 1 x NZ Battery and 2 x Australian Battery's firing 105's (18 total) and 1 x US Army battery firing 155mm Self Propelled Howitzers in depth.

Way too much fire coming out of those artillery shells impacting. Other than that, the guys depicting the artillery gunners did a great job.
