i like it how people dislike the girl’s voice from the original song. the point of Limerence is to express how the feeling, limerence, feels when it happens. the voice gives you an example on how the person would act around you when they’re on limerence. for those who dont know: limerence is a feeling that feeds off of love where you want nothing but to be near the person all the time. usually a feeling people enjoys. for me, it’s because it tells me that i am capable of loving this edit removes the voice for vibe reasons, which is understandable. it’s great for studying, sleeping, ect. so i’d say both this edit and the original are good for their own rightful reasons

The voice is abrasive and disruptive, because in the context of the song, "limerence" is being shown as something toxic; it is being shown as something that is similar and synonymous to emotional abuse and manipulation. That's why the male voice, which is barely in the audio at all, sounds emotionally drained and exasperated. The woman's POV of love is not one that is out of sincerity, but desperation, narcissism, and possessiveness. And the possessiveness of her expression of "limerence" is what the song is trying to capture, I think. "Limerence" can quickly transform into possessiveness and toxicity.
