A great skater is made of many things.Technique,of course, polishness and flawless in skating, ability to react against some unexpected event on ice during the race and to keep himself calm and do not lose the concentration for carrying out the program at the best. Then there are the outstanding champions who, besides the qualities typical of a great skater, have some other: they are able to give theirself to the audience e not simply skate like a robot.Javier is among these with Virtue&Moir
The first time I saw him skate he was just 10 years old, and even then you could see he had something else. I'm so glad that he's been able to get the high level training he deserved. Figure skating is sadly a criminally overlooked sport in Spain and most skaters couldn't afford proper training even if they had the talent. I'm so happy that Javi has broken that curse!! So proud of him!!
Javi was born to write the new history of Spanish sports, now the attitude to FS in Spain will be changed for sure! Anyway thanks to all Spanish coaches who helped him to make the first tremendously important steps, who supported him and believed in him. I have been following his performances since 2007 and I am also deliriously happy to see him win so brilliantly!
"Joe" ¡macho como me has hecho llorar!
Enhorabuena, Javi! Conquistador! Spanish rules in different sports=))
I think you need to explain that further, because I couldn't dis-agree with you more. The Charlie Chaplain theme was strong and well-represented in this program, demonstrating all of the nuances of movement and even facial expressions. There were also many difficult transitions into the jumps, (the 3loop in particular). I feel confident in saying that this is a breath of fresh air into figure skating. Such a shame you don't agree!
This tells 3 Quads (Twoe kinds. One with combo) will become norm for men's FP by Sochi. I am sure his training mate Yuzuru Hanyu will do 3 Quads at the Olympics. These young guns do Quads like Triples and 3A like 2A with Intricate entrance. Loooong take-off preparation for 3As is a thing of the past. Amazing!
Yes, I've always thought Chan has been quite overscored over the years, but Fernandez beat him at home in the last Skate Canada, so one can only hope...
So this is the reply I got from the person I replied to: "To:JP852 Don't talk to me. Die fuck. OK?" As much as this speaks for itself, a couple of points: a) saying 'don't talk to me' on a public comment forum is odd - there can be little surprise that people will reply to your comments, especially when they are rather sweeping and appear rather negative b) 'Die fuck' - well, charming. I don't feel I deserve to have my life ended over this. c) 'OK?' no, IT ISN'T actually, you need to calm down
