How to make fresh tomato soup

  • 10-12 medium to large Roma tomatoes
    1/2 cup of onion chopped
    4 cloves of garlic
    1/2 tbsp kosher salt
    1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1 cup chicken broth
    1/4 c flour
    1/4 c sugar
    1/2 stick of butter
    Combine tomatoes with onion, garlic, and spices. Cook for 30-35 minutes. Make a rue with butter and flour. Let rue get creamy and brown. Emulsify tomatoes, add rue, and sugar. Cook for 5 more minutes in medium heat.
