Islay is an island off the west coast of Scotland. Famous for its smoky peaty whiskies.
What makes it special? Are entry point, young aged and NAS (no age statement) single malt and blended single malt expressions any good?
Are they a good introduction to smoky peaty whisky, for a person new to this type of whisky (the novice)? Are they a good price point option for those with the more experience of whiskies (the mature palate)?
Does a famous distillery brand, automatically mean great whisky? (No!) Join me as I give a refresher in Islay, and later will review 4 Islay entry point whiskies. Who will be the winner?!

Ciao from Milano Italy 🇮🇹 I enjoyed this video and subscribed so I can follow your thoughts and opinions. I enjoy peated whisky especially in autumn with some Latakia based pipe tobacco ( I have been smoking a pipe for 36 years and my doctor says no major damage yet) I am now sipping a Ballechin 10 which is not Islay but a delicious whisky in my opinion.
