I have two of these for a construction project I'm working on and the video quality is completely average 1080 with a mediocre lens is not great. They need to make a 4k version of this. Also there is no way to access it through wifi and monitor it .You can't see any footage until you physically take it out and look. This thing can work ok but there is very little wow factor. the one idea that works and i'm not sure why go pro hasn't picked up on it is that they don't use a lot of power and can go for a long time on batteries. Good review though.
Excellent review - thanks so much! I just ordered one of these, as for work we need to capture daily photos of an upcoming, 1-year long machine build. This will be perfect! :D
@@louietruman2994 Great question! What I ended up doing was using my smartphone to take photos of the camera's preview screen once I set it up. Then after I changed the batteries, I referenced that older photo and tried to realign the camera to that same position. It's a little tricky because I think the camera preview screen times out fairly quickly so you have to press a button to get it to turn back on etc, but not too bad. Worth noting: I also purchased and used the extended battery pack, and then checked the camera for the flashing green indicator light every so often to make sure it was still recording.
Would you recommend this camera for indoor use? we install parking systems for cars and was wondering how capable this camera is for indoor use mostly. thanks
These are super cool a fun hobby project for when I can travel again! Would love to take this down to the Schuylkill river for thunderstorms of hazy mornings
I'm a reality TV produce and the owner of an 1890s townhouse in Brooklyn NY and about to start a 9 month gut renovation. Your new camera looks idea for my needs.
Great review! Just a few questions- All of my time-lapse is done in a lab, so is there an option for an AC adapter vs batteries? Second, my video will probably be around 30-days at 3sec per snap, so do I just remove the sim and copy it to a PC, then resume and connect the video as the sims fill up? Thank you SO much!
So this video is 3 years old - BHPHOTO finally has them and calls the TLC2020 "new release" (on their main page).. the 200 appears to be a 300 though. maybe the mounting or the solar panel make these updated. Still maxes out at 1080p. Still "128gb" card max? What's up with that! I guess that's a long time in 1080p time lapse. I've always been interested in a Brinno timelapse camera... then i realize I have nothing to timelapse!!!
For time lapse... a. does it allow storage of every jpg, or does it just spit out a finished video file? b. is there a control for manual exposure to minimize auto exposure flicker? c. is there a manual exposure so that one can set shutter speed slow and drag the shots? Great review.
@All Things In Time Lapse tbh at this point I just decided to buy another iPhone. I needed one so I don’t have to move the camera angle when I take breaks/use my phone. It honestly is better quality/easier to use than any timelapse camera I’ve been able to find.
I've read a lot of online reviews about the TLC2020 having issues with corrupted AVI files during recording. Have you come across such issues, or other ones to note for that matter? Thanks!
thanks for the video. I have the older one. how hard is it to put the video on social media. I may have up to 7 days work but usually do 1 to 3 days. looking to post on fb

That's a crazy project! I hope it works out for you!
How did it go using it over the course of a year? Did you ruin the angle by changing batteries?

Hi, how does focusing work? does it auto focus?
I have got the older Brinno TLC200 Pro for Xmas. Really looking forward to using it!
How many times did you accidently say TCL on the making of this video?
Great vid though, loved the Lego speedrun at the end :D
LOL! I should have put together an outtake reel...

Dude. I REALLY wished I could have traveled a bit more while reviewing this. Would have been cool to tuck it away and get some city scenes.
That timelapse looks like the resort I stayed at in DR a couple years back.
LOL I wish I could ship out to a resort for a bit...
Glad to hear you enjoy the camera! Hope you can continue having fun with it and don't be too scared to play with the stop motion function ;)

do you have a tutorial to make indoor food timelapse videos
Is it possible to review the shot images on the display right away?
Great review!

I was wondering the same thing.
@JuanBagnell do you know about this ? I'm wondering the same thing. Can we keep it plugged with cable for many days?
It it really only a 2MP sensor though? So you get a 1080p timelapse that you can't crop?

I need a time-lapse camera for painting videos that has really good video quality

Amazon says the quality of the TLC 200 PRO has 1080p recording quality did they update the TLC 200 PRO from 2014? So is that true?
@JuanBagnell
@@Brotatoweather Hey, our TLC200Pro camera shoots in 720P.
Thanks for the answer @Brinno Inc

I have not, but I haven't tried any recordings longer than three days.
@@SomeGadgetGuy thanks for your reply!
why is it recording AVI files? Isn't it just a shitload of photos?
7:28 new galaxy active phone could've been a great device for 2020
Sigh... I know... The Actives were the best...
im having issues importing the time lapses to final cut pro. when ever i insert the sd card in to the computer it says is not compatible
I want a timelapse camera that will be nailed to a tree outside in all 4 seasons. Is there something built for that?
thanks for the video. I have the older one. how hard is it to put the video on social media. I may have up to 7 days work but usually do 1 to 3 days. looking to post on fb
Shouldn't be hard. Just transferring from the memory card to a PC.
This just made me buy a Brinno. I’ve been shopping around for time lapse cameras. Then I stumble upon this gem review, great video!
I need a Brinno for construction
I think this is a really cool idea, but come on, it's 2020. If you ask me, it's 4K or bust. Great review, though!
No wi-fi, no BT, no 4k... Hopefully something really new in 2021.
Brinno Bbt 2000 is a waterproof
No ir for night shots ? Pass
Great video dude. The other reviews are dog 💩
3s is too long
Do a time lapse of California burning down. Oh, and get some footage of the wildfires too if you have time after that. 😏😋
