His Hornet frame looks like the Roadrunner mini bike I had as a kid minus the torque converter. I modded mine with a 5hp Tecumseh, straight pipe, and bypassed the governor. It ran 45 mph with a 100lb kid on it.
That carb was full of our good ole Iowa ethanol. As i get mowers to flip, most of the carbs look like that. I only use premium non ethanol fuel and alittle Seafoam in it. Rick your seat guy does an awesome job. The Hornet looks and sounds great brother! ✌🎬🎥🇺🇸
I put the non ethanol fuel , but didn’t on this bike .. wind do that again . Thanks he does a killer job on my seats for sure ! Thanks for watching sir 👍
Those choke levers always just break on me or fly off my aluminum intake because it would never tighten so I gave up and quit using one. It's pretty easy to flip it back and forth with your finger even gloved.
Sorry it took me so long to comment! Great work dude! Nothing smells nastier than old bad gas! Can't stand that smell! BTW we can't even get the can of Berryman's in CA anymore! That stuff was deemed illegal like 20 years ago lol. Smart people held on to their cans! Keep up the great work dude!
No problem , I know you are enjoying that homemade bread !! Got to hate that smell !?! And you can get the Berrymans ?!?! That’s crazy !! Thanks for watching brother ! PS .. you need to get some slot car videos out 🏁🏁
sweet, reminds me of a ruttman pack mule frame/forks I have. Probably do the same orange/chrome look but might throw a flatty together with a 30 series/jug on it. what kind of foam is that in the seat? Looked like it only slightly compressed when you sat down, must be comfortable.
Sounds like you have a plan , not sure what he puts in the seat , but it’s nice and firm but not to hard , it makes for a nice ride and don’t feel like you setting on a board 👍
Hey Rick, what's the rule of thumb on air fuel mixture adjustment? I have a new tillotson carb with air fuel mixture adjustment just need to double check for sure, thank you.
Do you get cocky attitudes and funny looks from people when you mention 90+ no ethanol and synthetic oil in your small engines? "I never use that in any of MY small engines" Like I am being ridicuous and they just have a zero turn and a generator to run. Then some will buy a new carb every other year and blame the carb manufacturer for the part being junk when in reality it's full of what looks like quince jelly. I tried one tank of regular 87 in my predator just because I was curious since they said it's fine, well not even stock would that 212 hemi run well enough for my taste on ethanol.(maybe with some carb tuning but it didnt even run well enough for a generator imo). Speaking of etubes, is there an extra piece that goes up in a vm22 before the etube? changing the jet the other day the etube fell out, no big deal but there was this other little brass piece I found also(in the oil drain pan of course and I had to fish for it). And I am having a hell of a time with that carb LOL never even turned an idle screw on a slide carb before but I'm gettin it closer every time.(or farhter out of whack but figuring out what I did wrong each time lol)
Yes on that VM carb there is a little part that in there and you got to put it in the right way , great reply sir , and yes I do get them looks sometimes .. lol Thanks for watching
@@BustedKnucklesBuildsTexasJust a guess that the needle isn't going to seat correctly with it wrong also and I will be chasing something I cant find trying to tune it?
