In 1976, Dr Jim Salinger detected the world’s first signs of global warming. 50 years on, his ongoing contributions have cemented him as one of the most important figures in climate change science worldwide. Now, he’s one of three Finalists for the 2024 Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Award.
