That was awesome 👏, I miss the old hydro-dipping. It’s like the guys at Team Olympus are so gifted in building and refurbishing. I could watch you hydro-dip video after video because you are that good! Great video!
GARAGE IdiotS When u getthe right facility, UA-cam revenue will make the difference worth it! I have no doubt if you had not got shut down you would have way more subs. That said love your channel and content. There is something special though watching you spray dip and clear!
Looks awesome! You are good at it, I hope you can get back to doing this someday. 😁 Maybe you should call cleetus and he'll build you a bigger shop at the Freedom Factory too, LOL
Awesome job Preston, i remember first seeing you a few years ago with some sick rocker covers you dipped for PFI and they were stoked! I always think about you whenever i see the pink cover on Kyles white MR2 lol
I miss these how to videos from you but I know how tight shop space is so you can’t have your both up just like seeing all your different content and talent you have keep up the great job
I miss the hydro videos... weird, i know, but thats me... can't wait until you are able to move and do both... i just sucks donkey nuts that i have no income and have been fighting for disability... btw, thank you SO much for choosing me for the team Olympus give away... the led headlight bulbs did arrive! now, i gotta repair or replace the lens assembly... all good, though! signed... I enjoy painting too. Finalising the last of the body work on my little boat then it gets a fresh lick of paint with a new look. Colour matching the sides of the boat to my car (world rally blue metallic)😁
Great video Preston. When you know where your taking us on your vlog it flows much better. Every one has secrets about trade and you should never give them up publicly. Looking forward to a follow up on these items when they’re installed. Little pieces of art. Ps dude everybody hates messing up big jobs but sometimes it happens. So long as you learn from your mistakes and try to find better ways always keep positive and move forward.
Always awesome to see Dipping. Brings back memories. Keep up the great work. You could do try a "Slow TV/ASMR" hour long test video and see how that goes. :-D
Great video!! You make look so easy. I would like to be able to do some of my own parts, looks like it would be a bit much to set up to do just a few small pieces.
Thumbs up ! Bro . thats a good skill tae have . It would be cool to show / teacth . A young lad or girl the Skills you know . . And its Help. All the best fae Scotland
Boooooo! I wanted the 3hr sanding version of this video. 😝 Save the dip tank for a day or two more and do 1 final dip for Goofy with his rocker cover. 🤘 Good man, you've FINALLY learned to get into the nylon wheels. 😁👍
@@GARAGEIdiotS We shall see for a 3hr sanding version? BOOOOO!! 😂🤣 I know what you mean. 😉 Would be awesome, you did do his intake so finish the whole job. 👍
The carbon without clear actually looks pretty close to how dry carbon looks. Will the dip survive without a clear coat, or does it need a clear to protect it? Perhaps a matt clear over carbon would keep the appearance. Team Fortress II fan?
Not to attempt to tell a man how to do his trade but perhaps I might make a suggestion and that is instead using a hose to wet the floor for dust abatement before you spray get yourself a plain old string mop and a mop bucket and mop the floor with just the tiniest amount (1/2 to 1 Oz per 5 per gallons) dish soap (something like joy or ivory soap). A friend of mine who is in the great spray booth in the sky was taught that trick by his father who as the story goes learned it from his father who learned in while in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. He said that his Grandfather who was a mechanic/flying sergeant learned to do this when they would paint planes and or plane parts. The purpose of the tiny amount of soap is to help break water tension and also help the wet mop pick up dirt/dust on the floor and as the floor dried the soap film helped lock dust down to the floor. I am not a painter but my buddy was and turned out show car quality work out of his backyard garage that he also did body work in. The day or two before he spayed color or clear the would blow the place out a couple times, sweep the floors several times and mop the floor with Zep concrete floor soap (the stuff that in powder form is orange and when mixed with water turns green [side note he always had a bucket of that and any times he made a oily mess and mop it with that after the initial wiping it with rags]) My buddy (not that I recommend it) used to have a couple of shots of booze before he painted most things and especially clear he claimed the light “glow he had on” made him bolder/fearless when painting and as a result he did not worry about sags or runs and on more than one occurrence I watched him paint a run right off a panel and onto the floor. Take any or all for what’s it is worth which is not a whole lot since you don’t know me from Adam and I am posting it on your UA-cam commenters in the middle of the night. Enjoyed the video keep doing what you are doing
Have you ever heard of steel-it? I think you should consider it for the jeep. It is literally stainless steel pain. It gives the look of raw steel but protects against corrosion.
You rock man thank you! Obviously only buy it if you actually want it haha I appreciate the support but if you don’t like it wait until we have one you like
Oh how I missed these videos, it's like them ASMR videos to me. I know you got to do what you have to do given your situation, but I beg you to not give up on hydro dipping. Put it on pause yes, but give it up fvck no! P.s. GoofyBuilt needs a Valve cover to match that bad ass intake!
You can tell by the way you talk how much you miss it. I really think you need to figure out a way to incorporate taking on jobs for income. You do nice work and seem to have a passion for it still. It is also a nice break up between car vids.
If you havnt grabbed a shirt yet, help us out and buy the rest so we can make a new one!

You should let Shane know that you're still hydro dipping stuff
He might have some other things you can do on his build.
I did, talked to him today, thanks for the heads up!

I’ll look into that!!
B&S used powder coating for a finish.
Pretty badass. Hey if you woulda used like a blue base would it come through? I've never done it
Yea but with this carbon it doesn’t look right, I usually tint the carbon with a translucent blue after I dip it over a black base
I've got the original shirt. Do you have a new version? I'll grab one.
