I always prefer the original look of the games when this type of remake is done. To me, the remakes always look like flash games...

Yup,it looks small it feels newgroundsy but still looks very good!
It’s a great effort for a fan game but something about it just seems off. Can’t quite put my finger on it.
@@greenmagicdragonit’s an uncanny valley thing, I think. Because the art style is trying to replicate the look of the cartoon, but it’s not quite there.
The cartoon was hand drawn and this is too clean. And less shading than the cartoon used for the characters.
Also, to complete the look of the show, the backgrounds should be hand painted.
Guess term HD has lost its value nowadays.

Old games that are still fun to play this is one of my favourites
For unfinished game it looks pretty well!
Sure there is a lot things to do but in future updates you will make ultimate HD remaster.
(Hope you will include nes levels and characters as well :)
Really not a remastered...but It is pretty well done. Oh the quarters I spent on that machine.....Turtle Power!!!!!!
Not bad remaster but in many places it feels clunky and still needs more work to be done. But in general it's a good job.
I also would like the NES/FDS exclusive levels being added, along with a new cave level that has The Rat King as a boss. Tora the Polar Beast, Shogun, and the Baxter Stockman (Fly Form), along with The Rat King, also need lines added in as well. Here would be the lines that I would add for those characters.
Baxter Stockman (Fly Form):
Line 1: "You made me a monster, and I'll make you pay"!
Line 2: "I'll swat you down"!
Line 3: "Buzz off, you pests"!
Tora the Polar Beast:
Line 1: "Cool off, hot head"!
Line 2: "I've been hired to put you Turtles on ice"!
Line 3: "Why don't you Turtles let me help you chill out"?
Shogun:
Line 1: "I have the honor of ending the terror of you Turtles"!
Line 2: "I've been programmed to bring you pain"!
Line 3: "The money's nice to go slice and dice"!
The Rat King:

i think that this is how old 2D games should be remade. i think i would also add some of the unused content in the original game
Really cool! I do have to admit, it reminds me of MegaMan X iphone 3GS graphics (from 2011), but that's just my opinion.

Ficou muito bom: cores, contornos de personagens, física, som, cenários.... pena que tem muita gente ingrata e rude nos comentários. Trabalho de fã/s para fãs, gratuitamente. Já vi equipes e desenvolvedores desistirem de projetos por falta de apoio, consideração e respeito. Lamentável.

For these kindsa things, if one must do a style update to an oldie arcade game, the least one can do is add more animation frames
You can do this with a simple overlay filter to any pixel art game. It doesn’t make it better.
I was really contemplating downloading this one but I’ll definitely get to it eventually.

They couldn't even loop the BGM properly! And that nunchuck animation is lazy as hell!
Like everyone else said,the hd looks terrible for something like this. If they built this actual game though, they did a great job! If they just did the graphics ... good job,but it looks terrible in the end,nobody's fault really.Its specifically the characters that look awful. Other things do actually look good here.
