Greetings, I have a suggestion. Maybe weld stops to the window regulators of the driver/passenger doors. That will prevent the window from going higher. I would take the windshield back to the window guy and have him fill the cracks with glue. Love your show. Keep doing what you do best .👌
One thing Id like to mention about grinding glass. Glass grinding needs to be done with a Silicon carbide abrasive ( black). You are using aluminum Oxide (Brownish). But, the old timers used to load up the Aluminum Oxide with bar soap ( or wax/parafin) so that the wheel/disk would not load up with glass (or Aluminum) and cause heat. Thermal expansion will cause fracturing in glass. Silicon carbide abrasive grain is a sharper abrasive than aluminum oxide so it grinds cooler. But it is a more expensive grain and is less durable.

Dumb comment!
Why didn't you have the glass shop put that together for you?
That would have probably cost more money, so Chad said he could do it himself, then he cracked it in both corners, and then used tape and super glue, lol.
I'm a retired auto mechanic, body man and painter and did my share of restorations with some modifications if it was called for. I never did it willy nilly I took my time to plan it out and even more time doing it. If I needed outside help I didn't hesitate, usually that's better than doing it yourself with a better outcome. As I see it you have a pretty good following on here of car buffs who DO KNOW a few things about restoration work and many offer advice but all I see is someone not taking the time to learn from valuable suggestions. I hope eventually you will slow down and stop racing to do things with a bit more planning. What I just said is not HATE , it's actually some concern . 👍
Exactly 😊
Well said bud!
You’ll still be labeled a hater lol
He could use a couple I- car classes I used to teach the welding course years back he has no business trying to teach people .
Again, this is not what bad Chad’s channel is about. Why the hell can’t you understand that? This UA-cam channel is about people who can’t afford to have a custom car. So bad Chad is showing you how you can actually have one with what you have laying around and basically a welding machine and a grinder. Why can’t you get that through your thick head?
Needs an everseal tape so it last , let us glass guys do the job right
The glass company is who did the crappy job cutting it and did not even smooth the edges. Of course what do they expect with a place called Speedy Glass!

Being critical is not the same as being negative and most certainly should not be automatically construed as "hating." I'm sure you would love 344,000 people who say, "awesome build; looking great; good camera work" after 2 whole episodes of "How not to work with Glass," but WTF, the world don't work that way. This car, chopped or not, deserved better than the shitty job you just did on the windshield. If that's what your skillset can deliver, then prepare for more of the same if you keep showing your work to the world.
AMEN
The guy who says he isn't being negative goes on to say "shitty job". heck of a guy.
They guy who says "If that's what your skillset can deliver, then prepare for more of the same if you keep showing your work to the world." doesn't realize he is on a channel that shows you everything, mistakes, errors, fixing errors, learning, successes, do overs, results, everything. You don't realize , this is the way you improve your skill set. Your skill set isn't going to grow if you just send everything out.
Did you not hear what he said about disagreements, suggestions, etc? Based on your first sentence there, I don't think so.
You might want to educate yourself, go look at the video of his show car cars on this channel. Absolutely stunning cars. That, my friend is what his skill set has delivered. What has yours delivered?

Didn’t chad have a glass guy that used to visit and did some glass on other projects? Was he busy for this one or something
He is too cheap
He learned hs lesson real fast and left town!
Good information. Not to many good comments lately, this one is good one, wish more was like this. Cheers!
